We make our way in, farleigh wanders off to wherever. I guess he doesnt need the tour since he's been living here. Felix begins through every room, explaining what is what. The place is massive, I am afraid i'll get lost somewhere up here. He guides us to his room through the bathroom where there's another room attached. "This is where you will be staying ollie." He walks back into the bathroom and there seems to be another room connected, "and this is where you'll be staying maeve."
"We all have to share a bathroom?" I sigh. "Unless you wanna use the one across from farleighs room, i'm not sure you do because you will get lost on the way there." I sigh again as I plop myself onto the bed. "Don't get too comfortable, come meet my parents, also ollie, mum left you a razor in the bathroom.. she doesnt like facial hair." Ollie and I make eye contact and we both want to question what felix said but we don't.
We make our way down to the library where everyone is seated next to each other, farleigh on the other side of the couch reading a book. Immediately as we walk in all eyes on us,"Oh darling, you two are beautiful, felix knows how to pick out his sort doesn't he?" A lady with blonde long hair, I assume is felix's mum, approaches ollie and i. I smile looking over to felix who seems nervous. She begins to leans close and grazes her finger tips alongside my cheeks, "beautiful darling.". She proceeds over to ollie, "You just have the most gorgeous eyes, doesn't he James?" "Oh mum leave them alone." Felix sighs as he sits down onto the ground next to Sir james, his dad. She scoffs at him then her face quickly changes into shock,"Oh how rude of me, let me introduce you... that is sir james," She points to a man sitting on a chair to our far left, "this is pamela, and venetia." Pamela and Venetia both awkwardly smile at us, and we both do the same back. "Darling come sit with us." Elspeth says patting down in between her and pamela.
"Pamela, dear can you please go check on the maid for dinner." Elspeth says to the woman who was sitting next to her when we walked in. "Oh yeah uhm who?" She asks quietly. "You know her," Pamela hesitates but stands up quickly, Elspeth notices "You'll figure it out dear." Pamela stands up flustered not knowing what to do, but quickly walks out. Poor thing. "Oh dear ollie come sit down as well." He takes a seat next to me, sitting awkwardly. Venetia, from behind me says, "cordelia?" I quickly whip my head around, she pauses sucking on what seems to be a sucker. "Yes?" I look at her confused. "Would you like to go for a swim?" She asks standing up reaching out her left hand. "Oh wow what a great idea!" Elspeth says, she has a tone of voice that almost sounds sarcastic, but very serious at the same time.
I look over to felix, who has an astonished facial expression. "that'd be fun." I respond, we are walking out the door leaving the rest behind. "You're welcome." I look at her with a puzzling expression, "what?"
"Getting you out of that awkward situation." She lets go of my hand and I can see a grin forming on her face. I don't know whether to say thank you or not. "Our mum likes to talk a lot, sometimes about nonsense." She giggles. I look at her and before I can say a word, "Venetia you can't just steal her from me."
"Oh felix quit being a baby, you can join us." Venetia and I both laugh. Felix standing, looking like a lost whining puppy. A smile begins to form as the words, "join us." were said. "Okay let me and ollie go change and we will meet you by the pond." Him and ollie scurry away as venetia and i trail along behind them.
"did you bring a bathing suit?" she asks. "I did." I answer. "Okay go change real quick and i will meet you back here, sounds good?" I nod, walking back to my room.
I am back in my room, questioning where my belongings where, "Oh I hope you don't mind, the maids put everything away." Felix walks in, he is wearing his swim trunks without a shirt. "No that's fine thank you felix." I grin at him walking over to check the dresser next to my bed and I slid the drawer open where my swimsuits were neatly folded. "Okay then I will see you in 10?" I nod as he closes the door behind him. I pick out the white top and paired it with green bottoms. I walk into the bathroom, so that I could fix my hair. It looks a bit gross from all the traveling. I decide that I would just change into my swimsuit in here since everyone seems to be at the pond already. I put on my bottoms first and then my top. I am struggling with the clasp, as I hear a creek from the door behind me. I panic not knowing who it was and quickly grabbed my shirt to cover my top half.
