"WE TRIED TO track her, but she's gone," damon said as he approached us. stefan and i slightly separated, but i still had my hand on his stomach. "cover up, fabio," damon commented. i pulled my hand away and stefan lowered his shirt. "little quicksilver sped after her but it was a lost cause. he is one fast dude. but we got a crazy ex on the loose." damon then looked at me. "better watch out, looks like katherine's trying to steal your guy."
i rolled my eyes as stefan said, "that's not what's happening."
"isn't it?" damon questioned. "i mean, it's only fair since i flirt with your girl." i crossed my arms and leaned back into the bench, interested as to where this was going. they continued as if i wasn't there. "so, what's it gonna be, huh?" damon raised his fists. "fight to the death?" stefan scoffed. "go ahead, make your threats, stake your claim."
"i'm not gonna fight you," stefan told him.
"why?" damon asked. "i'd fight me."
"katherine's gonna try to play us against each other," stefan pointed out. "you do know that, right?" in that moment, all i could think about was how hot he was. goddamn. lord have mercy. jesus christ.
"brother, don't you worry," damon started, "our bond is unbreakable."
"we need to stay united against her," stefan continued, standing up. "so, yes, as much as i would like to kill you, i'm not gonna fight you."
i furrowed my eyebrows. "wait, what made you want to kill him?" i questioned.
they looked at me. damon rolled his eyes. that's when stefan began to quote, "i'm the better salvatore-"
"oh!" i exclaimed in realization, cutting him off. "i've got a new quote now. just be honest with yourself, ellie-"
i was cut off by damon speeding over and placing his hand over my mouth. "not the time!" he scolded. "and i was just trying to cheer you up in your moment of sadness."
"excuse me," stefan interjected, "when did this happen?"
i yanked damon's hand off my mouth. "when you were flirting with kitty-kat," i stated simply.
stefan stuck his hand out. "i was not flirting with kitty-kat."
"that was the mystery girl?" damon asked, his eyes widening in delight.
"HA!" i exclaimed, "i got you to say kitty-kat!"
stefan groaned and ran his hands down his face. DAMN his hands were hot too. what the fuck is up right now? jeez! "what is happening right now?" he asked, rhetorically. "we just kissed-" he began to list, but damon cut him off.
"you guys kissed?!" damon questioned. "oh, this day just keeps getting better and better! i got to flirt with my girl-"
this time, i cut him off, "dude!" i threw my hands up in the air. "what did we just talk about?!" i saw a blur in the distance and grinned wildly. "damon, i think someone's on their way to kick your ass to the moon."
