I was with the rest of the students as we waited to head for Hogsmeade. I could see Harry trying to get Professor McGonagall's attention. I stood next to Hermione, and Delilah stood to my other side. Ron was standing next to the fountain beside Hermione.
We waited to see what McGonagall would say to Harry. From the look on his face and what we heard. It didn't seem like good news.
Feeling bad for Harry, I walked up to him and McGonagall. Hermione and Delilah looked at me and were curious.
Delilah: "What is he doing?"
Hermione: "You're really asking that? (Y/n) probably feels bad for Harry and is going to try and convince the professor."
Delilah looked down a bit and nodded in agreement.
I was in front of McGonagall and stood next to Harry.
(Y/n): "Professer, are you sure that there is no way for Harry to come to Hogsmeade?"
McGonagall: "As I told Mister Potter. Without a parent or guardian's signature, he can not go."
I saw the defeared look on Harry's face. It began to sadden me as well.
(Y/n): "But you know how his aunt and uncle are. Surely, there has to be some exception?"
McGonagall: "I am sorry, but rules are rules, and I can not change them."
(Y/n): "Then.... what about mine?"
I gently held out my slip that my mom had signed for me to go to Hogsmeade.
(Y/n): "He can use mine."
Harry: "No, (Y/n). You don't have to do that. It's alright. Plus, you have that date with Delilah. She'll feel terrible if you gave up your date just so I could go."
Harry lip curled slightly to show a small but seemingly forced smile. McGonagall then took my slip and handed it to Flich. She came back to use.
McGonagall: "And I'm sorry to say that you can not have Mister Potter use your slip. Your mother is neither Potter's parent nor guardian. Again, I am truly sorry."
Professor McGonagall then left with Flich to lead the group to Hogsmeade. I look to Harry with a defeated expression on both our faces.
(Y/n): "Sorry I wasn't of any help, Harry."
Harry: "It's alright. Thank you for trying, though. Now you should hurry, you have a date. Remember?"
We gave a slight smile to each other as I also gave him a nod before making my way back to Hermione, Delilah, and Ron. As Harry had to walk back into the castle.
As we walked to Hogsmeade, I was walking beside Delilah and Hermione. Delilah on my left and Hermione on my right. Delilah then gently interlocked our arm as we walked. Hermione noticed and got a bit jealous.
Hermione: "Really, Delilah? We're not even in the village yet."
Delilah: "Don't be jealous now, Granger. You'll have your turn."
Delilah smiled and rested her head on my shoulder as we walked. I then saw Kilgharrah flying over head and felt my phone start to go off. I took it out and saw it was my mom calling. So, of course, I answered. I was also surprised by the signal reception.
(Y/n): "Hey, mom. Sorry I haven't called in a bit."
Angela: *You better be, I've been worried*
(Y/n): "Yes, I know. I said I'm sorry."
My mother then proceeded to scold me for a little bit. I look towards Delilah and Hermione. They both seem to be able to hear the conversation. Delilah and Ron also seemed to be interested in the phone I have. To be fair, Ron has been interested since our time on the train.
