A Weird Akushukai Attendant

basically, a handshake event was held by brozone and a particularly weird fan did a handshake with branch, and naturally poppy was there. the fan was weird as in, weirdly obsessed with him. this fan kept trying to flirt with him and the atmosphere just got really uncomfortable. jealous poppy.

     Brozone decided to hold a handshake event at a music convention, as they thought this would be something fun. And Poppy recommended it. It was the biggest convention of the year- the Hipsty Music Con. Not only did it teach big parts of the pop trolls' history, but it also focused on big music news happening there and then.

     Brozone held a big stand, with 5 sections, each with a different Brozone member and the stand sign in each section decorated accordingly to the Brozone member. Every member had a long line, with Branch, Floyd, and Clay having the longest lines out of all of them. Sure, you had some weird fans here and there REALLY obsessed with their favorite member, but Branch had a specific fan waiting in line who was extra weird.

     Hellos, thank yous, goodbyes, excited squeals and screams all could be heard coming from the stand, both faintly and loudly. 'Thank you, goodbye' was the last thing Branch said before meeting a fan who.. tried to look exactly like him. They painted their skin blue, had a terribly made version of Branch's blue vest, tried to copy his blue and white ombre shorts, and had a dark blue wig on. With frosted tips.

     Branch's eyes widened. 'Okay.. so this is a REALLY big fan, no big deal.' He smiled forcibly and tried to look as normal as possible before putting his hands out. "Hi, and thanks for participating."

     "Oh my gosh, HELLO!! I'm SUCH a big fan!" The fan sat down and she immediately took her hand out to give the time ticket she had to Branch so he could give it to security.

     He muttered under his breath, "I can see that.." He then took the ticket and took a look at the time he had to hold hands with her. 'Five MINUTES?? Oh my god I'm not gonna survive this.' He internally cringed before handing the ticket to the security guard while trying to look as normal as possible.

     The fan and Branch talked for a little bit about what his band experience was like, his favorite song they perform, favorite song he wrote, and how he feels about his fans. A lot of questions all at once, and some about his personal life. She then said her name, Silver.

     "You.. have a girlfriend, right?" Silver looked upset while asking this, grasping Branch's hands a bit tighter.

     'They.. have a LOT to say for just one minute so far.' Branch then answered, "Yes, I do. Y'know who she is, right? Or do I have to say w-"

      "Yeah I know. Queen of Pop.." Silver then sighed as she kinda put her head down, looking for pity. "Well," she said, playing with Branch's hand, "she doesn't need to know about us, doesn't she?-"

     "What?" Branch raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

     "Well," Silver said in a sort of romantic tone, looking Branch up and down, "we can.. hit it sometime. Maybe after this? I mean, look at you, you're so-"

     "Uh, Silver, that's-"

     "A bit much, I know, but. We could make sweet music together." Silver bit her bottom lip slightly, smiling.

     "Silver, please. Stop." Branch visibly was uncomfortable, rocking side to side slightly. He looked in the direction of his girlfriend behind him who seemed to hear most everything. She looked angry and upset. He felt guilty and couldn't look at her for much longer, and turned back.

     "Aww, but you're so hot. Why would I stop? We can do something after this event if you're up for it, you know how I look like. And plus, I wonder what you've got-"

     "That's enough," Branch interrupted. "Caramel, Toffee, please escort her out," Branch instructed. He then let go of Silver's hands, putting his hands on his thighs, rubbing them to ground himself.

     "But-" Silver tried to protest. That was the last thing she said before being asked to leave, then being dragged out after refusing.

    "I think I'm gonna go take a break. Until," he paused to check the time, "around 4:50. Sorry guys." He then looked at Brozone's managers behind them who gave him a nod, allowing him to go on break. He then walked to the back, letting out a big sigh, hoping to find Poppy.

    When he went inside, he found Poppy, who sat on a couch with her arms crossed. She looked like she was about to explode at any moment. He sat down next to her, looking off to the side for a minute before offering a hand. Poppy took his hand silently and started to trace the scars on his hand, breathing in and out.

     After a minute, Branch gently asked, "Are you feeling okay?" He waited patiently for an answer.

     Poppy nodded and looked at Branch. "Will.. will you do anything with that fan, ar- will they take you away from me?" Poppy's tone was as if she was about to cry.

     "No, I would never leave you Poppy." He then took his other hand and gently cupped her cheek, angling her face to meet his. "I love you so, so much. I would never do something like that to you my love." He used his thumb to rub Poppy's cheek.

     Poppy sniffled and wiped her nose using her arm, then suddenly tackled Branch with a hug. She hugged him tightly. Muffled, she said, "I'm sorry for not trusting you. I love you Branch."

     Branch wrapped his arms around her, patting her on the back. "It's okay. I love you too."

     Branch and Poppy cuddled for a bit until Branch's break was over and he had to go back to the booth. He kissed Poppy on the cheek and waved goodbye before going back.
