Page 21: " In one moment......it all changed "

[ October 7th, 2271 ]

[ Nova as the narrator ]

" The Fall began, and the leaves are once again falling from the trees. Vibrant colours painted the leaves, and i wanted to enjoy this blissful season. I recently came back from my vacation to New Zealand, and my activities have piled up, so i have to tend to them. It was a challenge, though, as i have to balance my studies with my personal health and sleep, but with efficient methods, i can execute my schedules and activities without sacrificing anything."

" After the new Queen was crowned, i noticed that fewer people approach me whenever I'm in public places, i no longer have to hide because barely anyone approaches me and i feel very content with such peace of mind, the attention seems to be focused on the new queen and the Social Media of Stellar Nova constantly compares me to Miss Moteris, they compare my achievements and my looks to her and it seems that most students still favours me over Miss Moteris but it doesn't matter to me and hopefully Miss Moteris doesn't pay attention on these meaningless comparisons, the students will learn to love her and in the future, she will surpass me and be favoured by all."

" I was enjoying my lunch in the cafeteria and i wasn't expecting anyone to sit beside my table but............it all changed in one moment, he's my greatest mistake and a mistake that i regret ever pursuing. "

[ A new story of Nova's life begins ]

Stranger: " Ummm......Can i sit on this table? "

Nova: ( Silent )

Stranger: " I'll take that as a yes."

Nova: ( Continues eating )

Stranger: " Am i bothering you, miss? "

Nova: " No."

Stranger: " Oh, that's good then."

Nova: " Are you new here? "

Stranger: " How did you know? I mean, yeah, I'm new. My name is Xero Aldatici, I'm a 2nd year transfer student from Corazon Carmel University, and i recently transferred from CCU to SNU ( Stellar Nova University ) to pursue Rocket Engineering, how about you? May i know your name? You seem so lonely, so i was kinda curious to know who you are, so i sat to your table and introduced myself."

Nova: " I don't need company, but thank you for the kind gesture. My name is Nova Winters, and i am a student here in Stellar Nova."

Xero: " Can i know you a bit more? Like, your year level and the course you're pursuing? "

Nova: " No, i think my name is the only information you need to know, i have trust issues, so i don't want to reveal information about me."

Xero: " I understand, privacy is priority, but anyways, can i at least know your year level? "

Nova: " No."

" I left because i felt uncomfortable sharing my information with a transfer student. He doesn't look suspicious, nor is he evil looking, but for the sake of my privacy, i should only reveal my name. He can search my identity, but he can only know so much from the Internet. Xero Aldatici, interesting name......
