"Uh, hey, who's the new receptionist?"
"Oh, that's Nora, my daughter."
"What's the hap, Sass? What brings your fun buns in town, huh?" Ted questioned flicking a finger at her hair in buns.
"I'm speaking at a conference in Brighton." Sassy answered. "So Nora is staying with Stinky here."
"Yes, and I am going to make good on every single one of her wishes from the last six years." Rebecca agreed.
"Aw. Hmm, just make sure one of those wishes is a spare tampon then, Miss Fairy Godmother." Sassy added and teds face scrunched up, he was very glad Birdie was little and he didnt have to worry about that just yet... which made him think about the future... about his future here with Poppy and birdie. About his future with Henry, he shook the thought away. "That girl is an errant cobblestone away from her first period."
"Well, bibbidi-bobbidi-booyah. You know. " Ted chuckled awkwardly. "Always good to see ya, Sass." Ted added. "Okay, I'll let you ladies get back to it. All right? TTFN. Yeah?"
"Ready?" Poppy questioned when Ted for to the press room.
"Yeah, Sassy is here. Did you know?"
"No, I didnt, she is always one to pop and in out." Poppy remarked.
"Yet you are poppy!" Ted laughed out, Poppy swatted at him. "I'm ready, I'm ready." Ted assured as she nudged him in.
"All right, Lloyd, why don't you go all Pat Benatar on me, yeah?" Ted questioned in the press room. "And hit you with my best shot?"
"Fire away." Lloyd agreed.
"Yes!" Ted declared. Poppy laughed out, bringing her hands to cover her face. Trent smiled back at her, Poppy moved to sit beside him.
"How are things?" Trent questioned.
"Good as can be." Poppy assured.
"You going to give me a scoop yet?"
"I thought I just did." Poppy countered. Trent nodded slowly as he clicked his pen. Poppys gaze shifted to it. "You got my birthday present, no thank you note mr writer?"
"Its lovely." Trent agreed. "Thank you... your note is in the post. I sent it here, because we are not close enough for me to know your address only you to know mine..." He added cautiously.
"Yes well..." Poppy shrugged.
"You know-"
"Hush, Teds talking." POppy corrected nudging him.
"So, you've got Coventry City this weekend, where you're heavily favored. You think this'll end your team's embarrassing streak of draws?"
"Oh, Lloyd, I've never been embarrassed about having streaks in my drawers. It's all part of growing up. Yeah? All right, who else?" Ted questioned looking around. "Yes, sir."
"Trent Crimm, The Independent."
"Hi, Trent. You are sitting next to my favorite person in the world after my son, so dont make me look bad with your questions." He added. "But otherwise, make like Dunst and Union and bring it on, baby." Ted declared. Poppy chuckled. Trent looked between them. Poppy had always been a fun person but she blocked herself off from relationships in the past and now she had the most vocal most enthusiastic partner in all of london it seemed.
"Ted, you're known for creating a great environment in the locker room, but do you think the return of the prodigal son, Jamie Tartt, will impact that so-called "vibe"?" Trent questioned.
