Poppy was quite easily feeding Ted's soul, bringing him back to life with her every breath. Her hands slid into his hair, deepening their kiss, moaning into his mouth, pushing him back towards the bed. Their shoes came off as his hands cup her breasts. What purpose was getting dressed in the morning when getting undressed before work was so much better.

"Ted..." She tipped her head back, eyes closed, as he added her top to the pile of clothes at their feet. He slid her bottoms and panties off in one smooth motion as his mouth covered one of her breasts. He couldnt get enough of her. His hands and lips move along her skin, desperate to consume every inch of her. They fall onto the bed, both of them working together to get his pants and briefs off. With them still clinging to his right ankle, he settled between her legs, guiding her left knee toward her chest, and push inside of her. Their mouths crash together again. Hungry. Desperate. The perfect union of all that they have held back.

Her fingers curl into his backside while he drove into her. He didn't want it to end, but the need spurred him on. She spurred him on with her tongue mimicking their rhythm and her back arching off the bed, letting him know she's close. She was a need, something he craved. He loved this woman. She made him crazy. All of his senses culminate in her presence. He was and always would be the best version of himself with her.

He would always love this woman. Ted would always love Poppy.

"Oh God ..." she panted, closing her eyes as her head eases to the side and one of her heels digs into the back of his leg. He pressed her other leg an inch closer to her chest, like his entire being wants to crawl inside of her ... possess her. Keep her forever. His neck stretched back, face twisting as he released.

"MOMMY?" Birdie called out. "Can we have banana rama  pancakes?"

"Just a minute, Birdie!" Poppy pant back.

"Good timing." Ted teased kissing her again. SHe bit her lip unraveling herself from Ted.

"Morning. How y'all doing?" Ted declared coming into the club, he smiled at the team as he passed.  He was in a great mood.

" Morning."

"You're doing great work, Colin. And I love your new mantra." Sharon added.

"I'm a strong and capable man. I am not a piece of shit." Colin agreed.

" You don't need the second part." Sharon assured him.

"- Oh, right."

" Morning, Colin." Ted added.

" Hey."

"Hey, Doc. You get in any trouble last night?" Ted pondered.

"Nothing I care to speak about at work."

"You got fucked." Rebecca remarked.

"How can you always tell?" Poppy countered.

"You have that look in your eyes." Rebecca answered.

"Ooh, Doc. You are more mysterious than David Blaine reading a Sue Grafton novel at Area " Ted decided. Sharon didn't find his humor humorous.

"Well, Ted, make an appointment when you need to talk."

"Hey, I talk all the time, Doc. Just let me follow you around for ten minutes. After five, you'll want me to hush my butt."

"I love him." Poppy agreed.

"Hello duckies," They spun to the door.

"Mum?" the sisters questioned confused.

"What are you doing here?" Poppy questioned.

"I left your father."

Again, the sisters mouthed sharing a glance.

"I don't know about you fellas, but I am fired up for this FA Cup thing. I mean, come on. A March Madness tournament in the middle of our season featuring every dang team in the country?" Ted declared. "Yes, please. I mean, what we got? Davids versus Goliaths, right? You know? Rockys versus Apollos. Steve Wiebes against Billy Mitchells. What's another one, Coach?"

"Pearl Jam versus Ticketmaster."

"Mmm. Classic battle of art versus commerce right there. Yeah. I got a question for you though. Has a team not in the Premier League, à la us, ever won the whole chimichanga?"

" Eight times." beard answered.

"Eight times. Really?"

"But not for years."

"You have a new man?" Deborah questioned.

"I... he's not really new." Poppy admitted. "He's- we have been... for a while now. Birdie loves him too."

"Oh thats nice, you need a nice guy after all the trouble with Birdie's father."

"Birdie doesnt have a father." Poppy hissed.

"Sperm doner."

"That would imply I wanted his semen near me." Poppy corrected.

"Lets go out for lunch," Rebecca offered. "Poppy has work and- we can bring Ted."

"Yes." Poppy agreed stiffly as she headed out.

"Do you have lunch plans?" Rebecca questioned, Ted wrapped his arms around POppy stroking a hand through her hair.

"As a matter of fact, I do, yeah. Coach Beard and I here are doing Secret Sandwich Switcheroo every other Friday. What we do is I make a sandwich..."

" I don't care, Ted. You're coming to lunch with Poppy, me and my mother." Rebecca corrected. Ted stared down at Poppy.

"Okay. Sounds great. Poppy?"

"I'm pissed and you make me happy." Poppy assured.

"Alright." Ted agreed kissing the top of her head before looking to Beard.  "Spoiler alert. I made you a BLT."

"Samesies." Beard agreed.

"What?" he imitated an explosion with his hand.

"Crown and Anchor at 12:30." Rebecca added.

"Okay."

"I look forward to lunching with you, Ted." Deborah popped ehr head in.

"My mother." Poppy mumbled.

"Hi, Rebecca and Poppy's mom." Ted answered. "Hey, fellas. Say hi."

"Hi, Rebecca's mum."

"Hello, boys. And the name's not Rebecca's mum, it's Deborah. I'm a work in progress, a voracious book on tape listener and a staunch believer that if you get dealt lemons in life, then you should make lemon lavender mojitos."

" Mum!" Rebecca hissed.

"Nice to meet you, Deborah."

"Boy, I love meeting people's moms. It's like reading an instruction manual as to why they're nuts."

"Let's go!"

"Oh, hold on a moment." Ted pulled out his phone. "Just a moment then more hugs and a talk." Ted assured, Poppy nodded moving to the bubbler.

"Well, I mean, that's gonna be a little tricky 'cause I'm at work..." Ted said into the phone. "No, I work in London. Yeah, no, it's a heck of a commute. Um, tell you what. How about I call my wife... uh... his, uh, mom,.. and then I'll see... Oh, she's pulling up right now? Okay, well, there you go. Crisis averted. " Ted agreed softly. "Okay. All right now. Have fun. Bye."

"Everything okay?" Poppy questioned bringing a hand to his chest.

"Yeah, yeah. No, uh, Henry forgot his lunch today for his field trip. But, uh, no, Michelle's there. So, yeah, we're all good."

"It must be hard being so far from him. Having to talk via others instead of being able to be the one that does things. You are a doer."

"I am." Ted agreed. "Thanks for getting it."

"I'm sorry I can't fix it and that I'm selfish and dont want you to leave me."
