Stuck Inside: A Wings of Fire Fan Story

Ordinary Day(Or So It Seems)

 It was a normal ordinary day. Julian was in his room getting ready for drumline practice. At least it's only a 9-1 He thought. He loved drumline. He loved the activity, he loved drumming, and he liked playing music for people. Oh crap! I'm late! He thought as he ran towards the door and left. The school wasn't far at all but he didn't want to take any chances. He ran down the street until he got to school. As he got to school he was disappointed. No one was there. Except for Cole who was always early. He got there and then Cole greeted him.

 "Yo what's good Julian," he says as he gives him a handshake. "Nothing much, just tired and I really hope we don't march today." Julian answered.

"Yeah that would suck." Cole replied. Just then as they were talking, someone should up. It was Aidan. "Hello!" both Julian and Cole said at the same time. "Hi," Aidan said back. "Is Zach here yet?" Julian complained. 'We've been waiting here for 10 minutes already and I thought I was late!".

"Yes Julian, Zach is here."Aidan said sarcastically. "Of course he's not here, otherwise we would have been in the band room like 10 minutes ago" he said in a sassy tone.

Just then the band room door opened and Zach came out. "Did you guys even try knocking," he said. "Uhhhhh," was what both Cole and Julian said looking at each other with a confused expression.

 Zach laughed "It's fine, anyways grab your drums we are setting up in the cafeteria,".

 "What??!! But I thought we weren't marching??" Cole asked, hoping that Zach would change his mind. 

"Nope we are." said Zach. He laughed as he looked at the disappointed expression of the kids.

Then, everyone magically showed up and then it began. They brought drums and stands to the cafeteria. Practice went on like normal. They were playing, marching, and talking. Zach was sometimes yelling at them since people would non stop talking after a rep, Joe made some joke that made everyone laugh, and Carrick had a voice crack in the middle of some important speech and everyone was laughing so hard that tears started to come out of their eyes.

"One more rep!" Zach said. He counted everyone off and then they played. Then it ended and they had a big meeting with everyone in the theater. "What a productive rehearsal that was" Zach answered loud and proud. Everyone was nodding their heads in agreement. 

"We will be adding a rehearsal on Saturday because it's comp week". Jason spoke up(He is the other instructor). "It will be a 9-9 and we will be marching and playing the whole show for the comp on Sunday. 

Everyone groaned at the news of a Saturday practice. Dang it! I was supposed to go to my cousin's house that day! Julian thought.  He was going to his cousin Jeremiah's house that day because it was his birthday. Well guess I will have to miss it. He thought as he frowned. He will understand.

Julian accidentally zoned out the whole meeting and he only realized it when everyone got up from their seat and started leaving. He got up and put his drum away in the drum room. It was always crowded in the drum room when everyone was there putting their drums away. 

"Goodnight everyone!" Carrick yelled as he left the band room.

 "Goodnight!" Everyone yelled back. 

Julian walked home in the dark. He got a weird feeling that he was being watched. He looked around but strangely no one was there. He walked and finally he got home. His whole family was asleep. I'm too tired to fall asleep so I guess I could read. He thought. 

He walked to his room and went to his wings of fire book collection. That was his favorite book series. He picked up Winter Turning which was the seventh book int he series. Sometimes he wonders what will happen if he magically got transported into the world. That would be amazing. He thought with a smile on his face. "Well you will learn soon enough." A voice said. What the hell was that???Julian thought. He thought it was just his imagination playing tricks on him. I've been watching too much Hazbin Hotel. It was probably nothing. He thought back with a worried expression. "Oh I'm very real." The voice said with a chuckle. How are you in my head!!!" Julian thought back and yelled as loud as he could in his head.

"You already know who I am" The voice laughed. Then how come I don't remember your voice! Julian thought back. "You will find out why and how eventually....for now enjoy the show!" The voice laughed. Enjoy the wha-! Julian was cut-off by him falling unconscious. He woke up in some random hut. 

"Ow my head...what happened" he said. "Wait, where the F**k am I!" He screamed out loud.

  This is a lucid dream. He thought. It has to be!  He was able to touch his face, feel his hands. Wait these are not hands!!! They are talons!! "I assure you this is very real...."The voice said.  AHHH NOT YOU AGAIN!! WHERE AND WHAT AM I!! Julian yelled in his mind with a worried expression. Just then something opened the door. 

It was a dragon.......
