Everyone in the killing game had found someone or someones to pair up with. Well...everyone except Hu. As she was feeling down, a certain someone decided to try and make her feel better
Hu Jing, the Ultimate Zither Player, was a kind and compassionate soul to everyone she came across. So, of course, she supported everyone finding close friends and maybe even more. Everyone she cared about was able to find someone to cling to.
Everyone except her.
"Hu! Hu!" Eden chimed, happily skipping to Hu, who was sitting in the relaxation room, playing a small clarinet MonoTV had given to her. "Yes, Eden?" Hu replied, smiling at the happy clockmaker. "Hu, guess what! Arei decided to be friends with me and J, and now we're the 3 musketeers!" Eden giggled as Hu sighed in a happy manner laced with sadness. "That's... great, Eden. I'm happy for you," she said in a melancholy manner, which Eden was oblivious to. "Yay! Thank you, Hu!" Eden skipped away, leaving Hu a little upset.
"Hu," Teruko said calmly as she watched Hu braid her hair in the cafeteria. "Yes, Teruko?" Hu replied, sighing a little. "Min and I are going to be relaxing in her room for a while, so if anyone asks where we are, tell them this. Ok?" Hu nodded slowly as she watched Teruko walk away. Day after day, this kept going on. Everyone found someone to be with except for her. She would always hear stories about how Xander and David would go to the movies, or Arturo and Veronika would go to a park, or how Min and Teruko spent the day in a cozy library, and yet no one ever tried to come and bring Hu with them.
Except for one small occasion...
Levi had hung out with everyone. He was a very flexible guy. He didn't only hang out with one person, so he was a lot more comfortable with everyone, although he was a bit more casual with Ace as those two had put their differences aside to get along with each other. But one day Levi and Ace were hanging out in the playground when Ace had to leave for a small while. Levi shrugged and waited in the playground for a few minutes before hearing some sounds coming from the other side of the room. 'What are those sounds?' he thought to himself before standing up to investigate. He walked over to the source of the sound and found Hu Jing sitting in the far corner of the room, sobs soft, sad, and gentle. Sobs coming from Hu Jing, sitting in the fetal position, her face buried into her knees as she faced the wall.
"Hu...?" Levi asked, sitting down next to the crying zither player. "D-Don't look at me like this... please..." Hu muttered softly, not lifting her head at all. "Why not?" Levi asked, sitting down next to Hu. "B-because I-I'm supposed to be there for everyone... not the other way around..." Hu sobbed lightly. Levi sighed, putting his arm around the crying green-headed girl and trying his best to soothe her. "It's not your obligation to be there for everyone. You're a very kind person, Hu, but everyone has emotions. You can't think your emotions are less than others," he said calmingly, gently pulling Hu's face off of her knees and having her look at him. He smiled sympathetically at her and wiped her tears away. "T-thanks, Levi..." Hu said, smiling. "No problem," Levi chuckled, standing up and helping Hu off the ground, and after a few minutes of waiting, Ace returned. From that day forward, Levi, Ace, and Hu hung out together, and everyone made sure they all felt included with each other so no one ever felt left out again.
