two (You're heartbroken, Charlie, don't be irrational)

Time seemed to pass extra slowly by the time classes were done for the day. Possibly due to the lack of excitement with each lesson. Each droning word caused an internal groan in response. The mental agony of not being able to meet with Harry during their free period was driving the girl manic. Thankfully for Charlie, the mental suffering was over now, and she could finally share her plans with the boy who had made such an impact on her life.

Escorting herself down the halls toward the courtyard, her luck seemed to be all out as Charlie ran into Ron. They made direct eyecontact, and his tired eyes had this look of disgust deep inside them. The girl scoffed at him, keeping her head held high and walking towards her destination once more. He wasn't worthy of her her thoughts anymore.

Harry waved her over to a spot by the black lake surrounded by trees and a few shrubs. No classmates were around it was the perfect place to disclose her plan without interruption.

"Hey, you wanted to tell me something. What's up?" Harry asked whilst cleaning his extremely dirty glasses her barely ever took care of

"Harry, I know this is going to sound petty, but I want revenge on Ron for what he did, I know he's your best friend, but I just, I need the closure, you know?" She confessed to which Harry's eyes widened in suprise

"Charlie that isn't smart, you know his temper" Harry tried to stall thinking of a way to convince the girl it was a bad idea regardless of his own mind screaming at him to agree with her

Charlie rolled her eyes. "He lied to me, Harry!" her point whilst valid didn't convince the boy in front of her any further

"Everybody lies." was his only argument as it was technically true. Everybody lies every once in a while. Only Ron's lie is beyond the norm.

"Not like this," Charlie argued back, which Harry could only cave and agree with her. The girl continued her thought process. "I want to get him back,"

"You just want to make him jealous," he responded with a sigh of disappointment meant mostly for himself for agreeing with the girl. She wasn't wrong, Ron never understood when he did something wrong and never seemed to want to take responsibility and accountability for his actions.

Charlie laughed at Harrys response. "You dont?" she knew the answer was yes, Hardy has complained to her over the many years they had been friends about Ron's obnoxious behavior and tendencies.

Harry deflected the question, " You're heartbroken Charlie don't be irrational." Neither teen believed a word that came out of his mouth

"Then I must have been heartbroken for a real long time," she retorted sarcasm drenched like batter in every word she spoke.

"Alright, you win. What do you propose we do?" Harry's voice filled with internal disappointment seeping out into the daylight.

Charlie cheered, throwing her arms around Harry in excitement. He tried to laugh it off and patted her back awkwardly, not sure how to deal with the onset affection he wasn't used to. "Thank you Harry you are the best," she whispered into his ear. He could only hum in response as he felt at peace with the girls arms wrapped around him. He felt at home.

The breeze picked up from the lake, and the pair got the chills. Charlie sat herself right next to Harry, throwing her legs over his and leaning unto him in order to keep warm. Harry's head leaned on top of hers, and their heartbeats synced into one body.

"What exactly did you have in mind?" Harry questioned, excitement deep within his chest he pushed down, trying to play it cool so as not to give away his thoughts.

"I want to make him jealous. There's only one way to do that, " the girl implied, and Harry's eyes widened

"Charlie no." He deadpanned, Harry couldn't believe what the girl was implying, to him.

It's not like he was totally opposed to the idea. It just seemed completely irrational and irresponsible. Now he felt like he was thinking like Hermoine. Harry wasn't known to be a rational and responsible kid.

"Don't act like you're so high and mighty Harold," the girl joked, causing him to playfully roll his eyes

"Never call me that again," he begged. It sounded horrendous, and he was not here for it.

"I make absolutely no promises." Charlie looked up at him and smiled poking his cheek like she had that morning. Harry reciprocated in response, and the girl smiled. Ron had always hated when she poked him at all. He loved physical touch but not like that, and it has always bothered Charlie.

The two sat there in a comfortable silence, taking in the energy and world around them. The way the sky looked so clear and the few clouds made various shapes depending on what angle you looked at them. It was easy to forget what the outside world looked like when you spent so much time fighting for your life and running from any danger that approached no matter the hour of the day. Charlie was thrilled to spend some quality time with a boy who didn't judge her for being herself.

"When do we start?" Harry spoke up, letting his curiosity best him. He couldn't help himself he was dying to know more information it consumed his waking mind.

"We've got to set up some rules first and then tomorrow hand holding in the Great Hall," Charlie spoke so clearly, like every word flowed, so naturally, it was music go Harry's ears.

"I've got none I can think of," Harry said with a grin, making Charlie smile before responding, "Me neither."

They both just looked back at the sky, accepting the peace of mind it brought them and allowing themselves to soak in every action happening around them. From the birds chirpping to the students walking crushing dried leaves beneath their feet. They both could get used to more times like this.
