four (Your eyes shine brighter in the moonlight)

By nightfall, the freshly announced couple felt like they had to step up their game. Sure, people believed them to be dating, but they needed proof in order to get them to truly believe that they were legitimately dating.

Not to mention the fact that it had only been a few days since Ron had broken up with Charlie. The whole act didn't seem very real or realistic enough to fit the standards of the students. Yet they still shipped that they wanted so badly to believe that Harry could fall in love, expecially with a girl that would take care of him a girl that would love him endlessly and a girl that's been by his side since the very first day.

They had all seen the tortured nightmares. Harry had faced alone. In their hearts, they knew nobody should be alone like that. Not in that type of time of need.

Charlie wasn't the only one hurting in the situation. Harry had been facing his heart alone for years. He never let any of his friends know nor the public eye. It was heartbreaking as they all secretly knew exactly what he'd been going through. His screams were really hard to silence, especially when they were so incredibly loud. Those for the heck of screens you knew only came from nightmares.

Nightmares you used to have when you were a kid. The type of nightmares that haunt you even in the waking hours. Those dreams were the worst types of dreams. It seemed as though Harry had them very frequently. As though every night, he was not dreaming, but instead in a nightmare while fighting for his life. The very life he still fights to keep every single day being the chosen one.

Harry James Potter's life was an open book. It was the same book that he had never read and was blindly leading. The book that everyone else had access to except for him.

"Your eyes shine brighter in the moonlight than in the sunlight. It simply doesn't do them justice," Harry commented, staring directly into the girl's soul with each poetic word he spoke

Perhaps sleep deprivation was starting to get to him? The girl didn't want to make the wrong assumption about him and thus brushed off his words. That was much easier than getting rid of the blush on her face.

The astronomy tower was a popular price for the students to hide in late at night. Not only was it peaceful, but it blessed them with the sight of the stars. Those very stars kept Harry's attention. The stars reminded him of Charlie. The way the girl was always glowing was like a star. Always burning, brighter, never darkening. It was as though she was marching to the beat of her own drum. Never letting anyone tear her down regardless of their words. A trait he wished he could possess.

Harry wasn't thinking about this next action. He paused for a moment before brushing his hand against Charlie's face. Gently tracing it across and pushing hair behind the girl's ear. He smiled after him in a way that anyone could confirm what's true love. However, it couldn't have been love, not when they were just friends. Not when the truth was, they were never even dating.

It was impossible. They had only been dating for fake for a few days. Harry's feelings couldn't have grown that fast. In fact, they couldn't have changed at all. It would be nearly impossible. That's what Charlie kept telling herself when she blushed at his hand. The way Harry always had the upper hand on her made her miserable in a blissful way.

"I guess you probably hear this a lot. But I like your eyes as well. They're prettier than the ocean and forest combined." Her breath was shaky as her words flowed out in a few short pauses.

Charlie had never felt this nervous before when talking to Harry. It was as though her subconsciousness was screaming at her that she was starting to change how she felt about him. It felt so wrong to feel so good. Talking to him as though her confidence couldn't rely on him. She was so used to Ron constantly tearing her down to build himself up that when someone built her up, it felt wrong. Harry's words wiggled their way into her heart. Building itself at home.

Harry smiled. "I like it best when you say it sounds much more genuine," he commented before leaning back on his own hands, changing gears, and looking back up into the night sky.

This comment made it so hard for charging to focus on anything but Harry. His eyes just the way they shine. They were so bright, almost brighter than the stars, almost brighter than the galaxy. He had opened up a whole new world for her. She didn't even know it was possible. To feel so much joy to be around one person. It was game-changing for her, the way her heart truly felt full instead of shattered and lonely.

"Sorry, that probably came across weird innit," Harry whispered as he scratched the back of his neck in embarrassment

Charlie's eyes widened in a flustered panic. " NO, I mean no, not at all." The girl tried to remain calm, but her body seemed to he betraying her every step of the way.

Harry's smile widened at her words, and he scooted his body closer towards her. He leaned his head on her shoulder and let out a sigh, showing his comfort and contenetness with the situation he found himself in.

The stars above looked down at the two, admiring them in all their loving beauty. Her hand ran through his hair, and it was as if nothing had ever changed between them, and everything was happening naturally. The stars aligned, and everything fell right into place where it should leave the two to contemplate how fake their dating was. Individually coming to the conclusion that it was all pretend.

The snap of a camera alerted the two, both looking around, trying to see where it came from. They could only assume it was Colin Creevy since the mysterious cameraman had disappeared the moment he or she could be potentially caught.

"We should head back, get some proper rest," Harry awkwardly spoke, to which Charlie quickly agreed to do.

Walking in silence made it easier for the pair to manage their emotions as well as not getting caught for being out so late. It was all happening so fast. Too fast in Charlie's opinion, and she just wanted the world to slow down so she could take a deep breath before diving back into it. That wasn't possible, yet the girl wished upon every star that night.
