going to see Santa with your niece, nephew, and Sirius Black
"I feel like I'm babysitting three toddlers." I mumbled to myself as Sirius, my niece, and my nephew gawked at all the Christmas ornaments on the shelves.
"I think we should just buy all of them." Sirius said and the two nodded wildly, taking armfuls of ornaments.
"Uh, with what money, Sirius Black?" I asked and he smiled.
"I'm rich, Y/n Black." He said, saying the Black in a sing-songy voice.
I rolled my eyes, "It's L/n, because someone has yet to propose, and maybe where we're from you are, but not here."
Sirius sighed, "Okay, fine. We can only get one each, but it's okay because we get to see Santa after this."
"Yay!" My niece, Maggie, squealed, picking out the small doe ornament.
"Should I get the dinosaur or truck?" Levi asked, holding up two ornaments.
Sirius thought for a second before taking the red truck from his hands, "How about you get the dinosaur and I'll get the truck?" Levi nodded happily. "And is Mrs. Black going to pick out an ornament?"
I smiled, "Miss L/n, and yes, I already have." I say, holding up a fuzzy ornament of a polar bear. "Let's check out and go find Santa."
"Will this be all?" The cashier asked with a smile and before I could say yes Sirius dropped another ornament on the table. It was round and white, with gold "Mr and Mrs" writing on it. I rolled my eyes, yet again.
"That will be all." Sirius said with a smile, pulling out his wallet and handing the lady cash.
"How did you-"
"Don't ask." He shushed me and smiled as the lady handed him the shopping bag. He turned to the toddlers, "A lesson, Levi, never let the lady pay. Maggie, never pay, you're a princess. Now, let's find Santa." I smiled as he grabbed their hands and began walking away.
"He's a good one, keep him close." The cashier said and nodded.
"I definitely will."
Sirius glanced over his shoulder and flashed me a smile, "Are you coming or what?"
"Well, look at what we have here." Santa says as Levi and Maggie walk up to him. Maggie giggles as Levi clutches onto her hand.
"It's okay, Levi." I urge from my spot and he hesitantly sits on Santa's other knee.
"Now, what do you two want from me this year, huh?" Santa asked and Maggie whispered in his ear, Levi agreed with whatever she said with a nod. Santa glanced at Sirius and eye with a twinkle in his eye. "I think that's a very good wish. Let's take a picture."
I took out my phone quickly and snapped a picture of the three. "Awh, you guys are adorable.
"Don't forget to check out my workshop, and I hope your wish comes true." Santa said with a warm smile and we walked towards the workshop.
"What did you guys wish for?" I asked, taking Maggie's hand.
"We can't tell you, aunty, it's a secret." Maggie explained and I nodded.
"Yeah, but it's super good." Levi agreed.
"Oh, I'm su-"
"Reindeer!" Sirius explained and leaped forward towards the two reindeer sticking their heads over the fence.
I laughed as he graciously took a small carrot from the handler and fed it to the reindeer.
"You're a dork."
Sirius looked back at me and smiled, "I love them!"
Maggie laughed, "It's licking me!"
"Can we get one?" Levi asked, petting the reindeer's nose.
I smiled, "No, we can't. These reindeer have to help Santa."
"Oh, okay. I believe in you, Mr. Reindeer."
Sirius grabbed my hand, "Come."
"Uh, Siri, this carrot looks a little funny." Maggie said and handed Sirius the carrot. It had a beautiful ring around it.
"Is that a ring?" I asked and Sirius hummed.
"I suppose it is. Thank you, Mags, I was afraid I had lost it." Sirius said, patting Maggie's head.
I furrowed my brows as he pulled the ring off and fed the carrot to a reindeer, "I'm sorry, it's yours?"
Sirius smiled, "Well, hopefully not soon." He said and got onto one knee.
My heart stopped, "Sirius."
"Y/n."
"Sirius."
"I have loved you since the moment I set eyes on you, first year."
Tears filled my eyes, "Sirius."
"And I want to love you until the day I die."
"Sirius Black."
"I can only wish for you to feel the same."
"Aunty, I thought this was a good thing, why are you crying?" Levi whispered.
"Will you marry me?"
I nodded wildly, letting slip the ring on before pulling him up and smashing my lips on his. People around us clapped as Maggie and Levi gagged. Happiness filled my ever fibre.
"Oh, I love you." I told him and he laughed.
"Well, I sure hope so."
"Well." A new voice said and I turned around in Sirius' arms. Santa stood, the same twinkle in his eyes. "It looks like your wish did come true, after all."
