06 \ new girlfriend...

The two boys head towards the hotpot restaurant that Zhang Hao had suggested to dine in at. "Table for two, please." Zhang Hao greets the host with a huge smile. Soon, they both were led to their seats.

"It smells too good here." Ricky commented, taking a deep breath, smelling the hotpot soup base. "I know. My favourite since young." Zhang Hao grabs the IPad on the table, to place their orders. "You can choose. I am fine with anything."

After they were done with ordering, Ricky had an urge, to tell Zhang Hao about his feelings for Gyuvin these days. "So.... I have something I want to tell you?" Ricky starts, unsure about whether this is the right decision.

"Zhang Hao, you know-"

"Just call me Hao. I believe we're close by now? Calling me Zhang Hao feels so distant." Zhang Hao interrupts Ricky.

"Oh. Right. Hao, this something that I wanna say, can you promise me you will keep it to yourself? Not even Gyuvin knows." Zhang Hao is now really curious. Even Ricky's best friend is unaware? That's some mysterious secret!

"Hmm, of course. Go on."

"Okay. So.. I started to develop feelings for... Gyuvin. I know! I know, it's surprising. I did not believe it at first. This is so wrong... I want to lose feelings fast. But I don't know how to do it. Hao... I feel hopeless."

Zhang Hao looks at the poor boy trying to explain himself. He felt bad for Ricky. "First of all, loving someone is never wrong." Zhang Hao says calmly, with a small smile. "Next, you don't have to lose feelings. Gyuvin is not hurt by you liking him, is he? But I totally thought you were straight!" Zhang Hao laughs after finishing his sentence. Ricky felt embarrassed so he just awkwardly nod and shove the food into his mouth.

"One thing for sure, Ricky. You can't confess to him. Gyuvin is known for dating girls. He's straight all his life." Zhang Hao says, picking up his chopsticks to grab a piece of meat on his plate.

"I know."

"I mean, you can still change him." Zhang Hao says, laughing. "I wish it was that easy." They both went on and on about other topics, not Gyuvin of course. Overall, it was a really great bonding session that both Ricky and Zhang Hao had shared.

Once Ricky reached home, he received a text message from Gyuvin, asking if he wanted to join him in the arcade tomorrow. Ricky obviously ignored his message and went to bed.

The next day arrived and they're now back in school. Gyuvin, arrived in school with a girl that Ricky swore he has never seen before.

Apparently the girl was in their Chemistry class? Ricky walked slowly behind the couple, who seemed to be having a wholesome conversation. 'Could they be dating? But it's just been a day?' Ricky thought to himself.

Once Ricky was seated, Gyuvin joined him. "You didn't see my text?" Gyuvin pouted while asking. "Nope. What did you send?" Ricky asked, avoiding eye contact with Gyuvin.

"I knew it. I asked you if you want to go to the arcade today with me. No Zhang Hao please."

"I'm not free. Besides, you can ask your girlfriend to go with you." Ricky purposely highlighted the last sentence. Gyuvin gasped and looked at Ricky shook. "How did you know?! Was I that obvious?"

"What?"

"My girlfriend. I literally started dating her like yesterday."

Oh. If only Gyuvin knew how Ricky's heart shattered. It is as though someone threw his heart from the 64th storey of a building , with full strength. Ricky rolled his eyes. He still had to pretend, pretend that he did not give a single flying fuck about Gyuvin's love life.

"You'd rather date her instead of the new girl?"

Gyuvin nodded and Ricky noticed Gyuvin started blushing a little. Oh, how in love Gyuvin was... Ricky kind of wished it was him that made Gyuvin blush like this.

"Congrats, I guess. This is your number what?"

"My 9th one. I think it will work out pretty well." Gyuvin says, glancing over at his girlfriend who's reading her textbook silently. "Seriously Gyuvin." Ricky shakes his head, laughing a little.

The rest of the lesson continued and Ricky couldn't focus. What do you mean Gyuvin is dating someone now? He literally said he didn't want any relationship in the meantime. Why did he go back on his words? Ricky thought that at the very least, if Gyuvin is single, he still had that small glimpse of hope.

Now that Gyuvin is not, everything is gone.

Ricky tries to ignore Gyuvin's blabbering about how he met his girlfriend through Instagram then finding out they were in the same class. 

Now it's finally English class and they were assigned to complete this essay writing project with a partner that their teacher had specifically chose for them. "Okay, your name list is here. Go find your partner and start working on it."

Ricky looked up onto the screen and saw his name paired with Gunwook. Of course he had to check who Gyuvin was paired with; and it was Zhang Hao. Ricky is now internally praying that Zhang Hao does not accidentally leak anything about his feelings for Gyuvin.

"So.. I guess we're partners?" Gunwook walks up to Ricky. "Yeah," Ricky says as he moves his bag onto his lap, allowing Gunwook to sit next to him. "I'm actually confident in this topic. Can I do the starting?" Gunwook says, taking out his laptop.

"Sure," 

"Okay! Anyways, now that I'm sitting close to you, I kind of understand why Gyuvin loves being friends with you." Gunwook says, smiling. Ricky just look at Gunwook, confused. "What?"

"That day when we went to the karaoke, Gyuvin...got drunk, and then he tried to kiss me thinking that I were you. He's so weird." Gunwook says, chuckling. Kissing your own best friend definitely sounded weird as hell. "Oh..."

"Yeah, I pushed him away because that is ridiculous, and he got an injury. I felt so bad." Gunwook continues, Ricky gets tensed up. Oh, who the fuck would kiss their best friend and deemed it as it's something normal? 

"I know right, Gyuvin is super weird." Ricky laughs after saying, then he continues writing on his paper, the points he would like to include in their essay writing.

After hearing this from Gunwook, Ricky is now unsure how to feel. The fact that Gyuvin mistook Gunwook as Ricky and even tried kissing him again... Feels unusual. Does that mean Gyuvin wanted to kiss him again? Even after the dare? But again, Gyuvin was drunk. He may be doing that because the alcohol made him do it.
