It was currently 3:30 AM, and Octobella soon woke up due to a bad dream causing Gekko to wake up.
Gekko: Octobella, are you okay?
Octobella: Just a bad dream, but I'd rather not talk about it
Gekko: Octobella, I understand that you don't like to talk about these bad dreams, but I'd like to know what these bad dreams are about
Octobella: It was about the death of my mother
Gekko: Well what happened to your mother?
Octobella: Well... before I met you, Owlette, and Catboy, me and my mother lived in the moats of Adventure Bay, I never knew my father, but I knew my mother well
Gekko: What was she like?
Octobella: She was loving mother, always doing her best to raise an only child... until her passing
Gekko: What happened?
Octobella: *sighs sadly* Well... I wanted to explore the world above, but when I did, people viewed me as a monster, they tried to kill me, my mother stood up for me, but I heard a loud bang and something hit the ground, when I emerged from the water below... she laid lifeless, so from that day on I lived within the moat, where I stayed fearful of humans... that was until I met you *begins crying*
Gekko: *hugs Octobella* It's okay Octobella, she may be gone, but she'll always be remembered for the sacrifice she made to protect you
Octobella responded quickly but immediately hugged Gekko while crying upon his shoulder. Though her mother was gone, Gekko was there to life her spirits and be hero her mother would want.
