It was yet another beautiful day in Tokyo. Or, at least, it would be, if Bakugou Katsuki wasn't headed to his mother's office for the third time this week. She insisted that she needed to talk to him "promptly, Katsuki". As much as he had wanted to argue, he knew that a screaming match with his mother over the phone would achieve nothing. He knew this, and yet still, something in his head wanted to jump at his mother's throat.
Katsuki scowled as he glanced at his watch for the fourth time in the past 5 minutes. The bus was running late, and his mother would have his head if he showed up more than 10 minutes after the time they had set.
After a quick glance to both sides of the street, he decided to just walk the rest of the way. He could probably make it in time if he left now. He turned around from the road and headed down the pavement, eyes glaring in front of him.
He glanced up at the sky as he heard the telltale rumble of thunder, speeding up as the downpour started. He growled deep in his throat as he felt the cold water begin to soak through his clothes.
Clearly, nothing could go right for him today.
He rounded a corner, eyes focused on the ground, so much so that he almost missed him. A tall alpha man was crowded in a corner, hand on the wall, leering down at something. He was about to pull a face and bark out some unsavory comment when he saw him.
A small Omega, back pushed up against the brick wall. His feet fell out of step as he turned his head. The poor man looked freezing cold, no coat on, and soaking wet already. What’s more, he was cradling a small blanket in his arms, which was shivering. As he stepped slightly closer, he came face-to-face with a tiny version of this omega. He was crying against his mama’s shoulder, face dirty and red.
“Fuck-” Katsuki muttered under his breath, looking the way he was supposed to be going, towards his mothers office building.
He would have hell for this.
Still, though, he started moving before he even knew what he was doing.
“-unclaimed omega like you, out here looking so pretty. You’re lucky I found you, baby.” He heard the man mutter, and it made him sick.
“Oi, asshat!” Was the only warning the man had before a fist connected with the side of his head.
“What the fu-”
“Shut the fuck up.” Katsuki shoved him against the wall, eyes glowing red. He could feel his fangs growing, feeding off of the adrenaline.
“Oh shit-”
“Yeah, oh shit.” He growled, flashing his fangs. The other alpha swallowed hard and looked down, head tilting to the side. Submission. “Get out before I rip your throat out and make it look like an accident.” He said, stepping away. The other man was out of sight in seconds.
Katsuki took a deep breath, not yet looking at the omega. He had to get his pheromones under control before he scared the poor thing more.
Calm, Katsuki. The fight is over, idiot.
Omega hurt. Help. Comfort. Mate.
Shut it, alpha, not helping.
He silently warred against his instincts. He heard the omega whimper and turned his head, making eye contact. And, shit, if that wasn’t the prettiest man he had ever seen. Even dirty and clearly sweaty, he was gorgeous. The child's cry ripped him out of his thoughts.
“Th-thank you, sir.” The omega said, bowing.
“What’s your name?” He asked gruffly, taking a step closer to him.
