Waking up next to Izuku was something he could get used to. The omega made the sweetest squeaks in his sleep, breathing cool air onto Katsuki’s neck as he slept. He was an angel in the early sunlight peeking past the curtains, hair splayed out on the pillow. One of Izuku’s hands was laid on his swollen belly, the other in Katsuki’s hair. He was laying on his side, eyes fluttering in sleep.

Katsuki had been awake for a few minutes now, just watching the omega sleep. He couldn’t help it. Izuku was here, in his den, asleep in his bed, and he trusted him enough to be asleep in the alphas presence.

He could tell the moment Izuku began to stir, eyes squeezing for a moment. He made a little hum as he turned just slightly, not quite to his back, and his eyes cracked open. He saw Katsuki and smiled, pulling his hand out of the alphas hair, drawing a whine from his throat.

Izuku laughed, low in his throat, and pushed his hand back, massaging his head.

“Good morning.” Izuku said quietly, sleepy smile washing over his face.

“Good morning, Izu.” Katsuki replied, smiling at the soft blush that caressed the omegas face.

“I like that. Cute.”

“I’ve been thinking of nicknames as I waited for you to wake up.”

“Bless me with them, please.” Izuku replied, pushing himself up strenuously. He wasn’t huge with the baby yet, but he was getting there. It was a lot of weight on his front. Katsuki couldn’t stop himself from pushing himself up and helping to push him upward into a sitting position.

“Izu, Zuku, Deku,” He said as he gently sat behind the pregnant man. “Zu, Bunny, and my personal favorite, baby.” He said, planting a soft kiss on his temple. He didn’t miss the shiver at the last two names.

“Mm, those sound good.”

“Yeah?” Katsuki asked, smiling wide. Izuku hummed in response, pushing himself to his feet. He watched as he walked into the bathroom, one hand rubbing over his bump. The door opened and closed quickly and Katsuki couldn’t help but break into a smile.

Izuku had slept in his den . He still wasn’t over it. He was actually falling so hard for this man. He wanted to protect him with everything he had, he wanted for Inki and the new baby to have everything they ever wanted, and he wanted to protect them all.

He had just laid back onto the bed again when something seemed wrong. He smelled distress from the bathroom, heard Izuku make a pained noise. He sat up quickly, clearing the space between him and the door quickly.

“‘Zuku?” Katsuki asked, knocking.

The scream that came out of Izuku’s mouth chilled his bones. He had only heard something that terrible once before, when Mina lost her baby. His eyes grew wide as he smelled blood from inside, and his alpha took control.

He kicked the door open, shattering the lock. Izuku was doubled over on the floor next to the toilet, clutching his stomach, face twisted in pain. He wouldn’t have caught it if he wasn’t looking, but there was a small patch of blood on the omega’s pants.

He immediately surged forward, lifting the small man into his arms. Even as he walked out of the bathroom, he could smell the rest of the pack outside of the door. He opened it quickly, almost hitting Denki in the process.

“Mina, keep Inki. Kiri, please, car.” Katsuki said, voice breaking in the middle of the sentence.

The red haired man nodded and ran in front of them, grabbing the keys on the way. Denki followed behind them, whimpering at the smell of distressed omega. Izuku’s face was pressed hard into his scent gland, and so he was trying extremely hard not to let panic set in to his scent.

In any other circumstance, he would be ecstatic that Izuku trusted him enough for that, but now, it was just cold fear.

He climbed into the car with Izuku in his arms, unwilling to let go of him.

“Drive.” He muttered to Kirishima as soon as he was safely in the backseat.

They flew off towards the hospital. Katsuki was pretty sure Kirishima ran every red light, but in that moment, he was thankful for his friend's reckless driving. It got them to the hospital in record time.

Izuku kept whimpering into his scent gland, and it broke his heart. His alpha roared in his head, demanding he comfort the omega. He didn’t know how.

As soon as the car stopped moving, he was out of the car and running into the emergency room. The receptionist stood up as soon as she saw them.

“He-he’s pregnant. He’s bleeding and cramping and… please.” Katsuki had never sounded more desperate. The receptionist pressed a button on her desk and he could hear the beeping going off further into the hospital.

“Give me as much information as you can, dear.” A nurse said as she ran over.

“His name is Izuku Midoriya. He-he’s an omega. He’s 5 months pregnant. Second pregnancy. He escaped domestic violence a few weeks ago.” Katsuki said, relieved that people were listening to him.

“Is he mated?”

“No, no, he’s not.” Katsuki shook his head.

“Are you two together?”

“Y-yes, ma’am.”

“Alright, honey.” The woman said, placing a hand on his shoulder as a gurney was run in. He gently set Izuku down and watched as they rolled him off. He took a step to go with, but the nurse he was with stopped him. “What’s your name?”

“K-Katsuki.” He said watching the doors close.

“Katsuki, why don’t you sit down?” She led him to a chair and allowed him to sit, sitting next to him. He could smell now she was also an omega, but mated. “You did the right thing, bringing him here. They’re going to take care of him.” He said, hand gently stroking his hair. It was strangely motherly.

“I-I was just here six months ago. My packmate, she lost- she lost hers.” He started talking, tears streaming down his face now. “I-I sat right there.” He pointed to a chair in the corner. “We waited for what seemed like hours. I didn’t… I didn’t know what was happening. I was so scared. I am so scared.”

“Shh, it’s okay, sweetheart.” The nurse wrapped one of her arms around his shoulders. “He’s going to be alright. I promise.”

It felt like hours that he sat there, embraced by the nurse as he cried. People kept looking at him, but he didn’t care. He needed to be comforted, and he didn’t expect Kirishima to come in here. He didn’t want his friend to have to do that.

Finally, a doctor walked in.

“Izuku Midoriya?” He called. Katsuki was on his feet in seconds, walking over.

“Is he okay?” He asked.

“He’s just fine.” The doctor nodded. “The baby is as well. We are going to keep him overnight, but he requested a mate’s room, so you’ll be able to stay with him. We are going to place him on bedrest for the rest of his pregnancy. I’ll have more information after you see him.” The doctor then led him down the hall and into a room. Izuku was laying on the bed, and he looked really out of it.

Katsuki moved to his side, grabbing his hand. Izuku shifted his eyes to him, and managed a small smile.

“Baby’s okay.” Izuku whispered, contented, drugged out look on his face. “An’ I am too. Don’ worry, Kacchan.”

“I’m not worried, baby.” Katsuki said, smiling in relief.

“Yea’ you are. I can smell it on you.”

“Alright, you got me.” He let out a small chuckle. “Get some sleep for me, okay, Izu?”

“‘Kay, Kacchan.”
