everyone is always so so cautious now—and for good reason, of course. but i feel like we've all closed ourselves off to risk. we've all become selfish for self preservation and we keep to what's comfortable. nothing wrong with that. but what a waste, no? we always look for "the catch" in every good thing that comes our way. why can't we just let a good thing be just that? a good thing. we meet a kind person and our first thought is, "but what do they gain from this?" as if it's so far-fetched that someone simply just wanted to. life was never meant to mean being comfortable in the familiar; it was always to learn to be comfortable in the possibilities of "what ifs ", to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. take a chance on people. maybe you'll regret it. but what if you don't?
