My court hearing was today... where I finally had to face Harge. To say the least I was tired, of everything, I've already lost most of everything so why bother.

I'm about to lose my precious daughter to this nuisance of a man over what. A morality clause? Blow me, so what, I went away with a girl where I was intimately involved with.
My daughter wasn't aware so why means. He's doing this simply because he couldn't keep me, and If he can't have me I couldn't have Rindy...

Clearing his throat "We feel, given the seriousness of these charges and the incontestability of the evidence, my client has every reason to expect a compliant and favorable outcome"

Fred was merely on the verge of laughing even though this was a time to be serious
"Not so fast, Jerry. My client's psychotherapist is perfectly satisfied with her recovery from... the events of the winter, asserting she's more than capable of caring for her child. She's had no further contact with the said women in question"
Fred interrupted, assure to set the record straight with the other said lawyer.

"And not just that, we have sworn depositions from two saddlebrook institute psychiatrists clearly stating that, from their opinions, a series of events. Precipitated by my client's husband, drove her to suffer an emotional break, which in results of her behaviour"

He added onto his last statement.

Looking over I witnessed Harge eyes grow wider, fury living within them. He stood up rather fast slapping his hand on the table between us "That's absurd! Are they serious?!" He questioned, switching his eyes between me and Fred and his lawyer.

"Okay okay, Harge sit down" Jerry spoke calmly reassuring his client, my soon to be ex-husband after this whole altercation.
Glancing back to Fred " Alright look— if this is how you're going to play thi-" Jerry began pointing his finger at Fred's face even though they were apart I still took great offence to it, highly disrespectful to say the least.

Fred chuckled and rolled his eyes seemingly "Given the manner in which these tapes were obtained and recorded, we're confident in their Inadmissibility-" Getting cut off by Jerry "First off, I'd like to see these depositions. And secon-"

Hearing them go back and forth was hurting my noggin, a migraine a rising at my temple.
Putting my palm on his arm to prevent him from opening his mouth once more, he turned to me. "Carol wh-"

Closing my eyes squeezing them tightly, letting out an massive breath I didn't know I was holding "Fred, please. Don't— May I speak, please?" I threw a question of my own.
Counting exactly five seconds the room was completely silent other then the Stenographer lady typing on the type writer behind us.

Opening my eyes I sighed, all eyes laying on me "I..."— "I won't deny the truth of what's contained in those tapes" I began.

Turning his head behind us he waved his hand in front of his neck "This is off the record honey" Fred signalled to lady.

"Might as well be on the record" I scoffed, I wasn't going to lie and not up hold the truth of what I've done. I didn't regret not a single thing I'd done, being with Therese those days, I was free... I was me.

Feeling my heart hitch a beat I placed a hand on my chest to console myself; seemingly as an coping mechanism.

"What happened in those corresponding days... I wanted— I do on the other hand, want to talk about... duty... sacrifice. That was what I...
But now that I'm here I don't— I don't know what to believe; or what I even know..."
Proclaiming my plea I could see the not so discreet glances they all were giving each other.
