After the first dance ended, our first year photos were projected on the screen, which were in his direct view, not mine.
Unfortunately I missed his, but then we joked about how he looks exactly the same.
"Oh no! I looked like a boy in mine" I began to moan.
"Ha there it is!" He stated with a small chuckle.
"You're on the screen!" Yelled Ryan in a jokingly way.
Oh thank you school, for taking away the tiniest bit of street cred I could've had.

The dance was the Waltz, which meant new partners.
This part was really rather exciting.
I danced with Dustin, Ryan and Abi's date, Gordon, all of which were very gentlemanly. The other boys were just as friendly, but I didn't know them well enough yet though.
I told myself i could be anything, whoever i wanted to be - it might be naive but it filled me with hope and joy.
If i wanted to be close to them, i could.

It was the last compulsory dance, called the 'Cha Cha Cha' I'm sure everyone's heard of it but possibly are unaware of the dance moves.
This dance consisted of the boys moving to the side over and over to dance with a new partner.
When the dances were complete I waited for him to come round again.
"That was fun wasn't it?" I asked him.
"Yeah, I think I've got better"
"That's good! Anyways thanks for that!"
I could see Abi coming up to me,
"No worries" I think he said.
Then I was with Abi.
That was fun(-ny) I must admit.
Nothing huge but pretty memorable.
