After bidding her boss goodnight, Jisoo releases an exhausted sigh and tightens her bag on her shoulder as she heads back to her apartment.
Today is weirdly sucking her soul out from overworking and that embarrassing incident. Tzuyu apologized her multiple times for putting her in that situation and her being the girl with big heart had no idea but to forgive her. After all she didn't intentionally do that to humiliate her. It was all misunderstanding.
Jisoo may forgive Tzuyu but not that arrogant guy who thinks everyone lives under his shoes. Even if Tzuyu attempted to get his attention by placing a note under his cup, he didn't have to go that extent to criticize inhumanely.
According to her acumen discernment, Jisoo can tell the guy is definitely from rich family. Acting all high and dominant, treating commoners-example her-as their ego boosting thing so that they can gain people's esteem.
She hates that kind of people the most.
Remembering Jennie is still missing and she's preoccupied by her own, Jisoo instantly pulls out her phone to check the notifications. Because of work, she power off her phone.
She's excited that there are notifications constantly appearing on the screen but when she reads the contact it's not her friend's number but her annoying boyfriend.
Inhaling a deep breath, Jisoo dials the guy. It means Jennie is still missing. She swears she will give that girl a proper lesson for leaving her like that when she comes back, if only though.
Poor guy answers as soon as the first ring rings as if he's waiting for her with his phone in his hands.
"I'll be honest. I really thought you were dead," is the first thing he says.
"What? Seeing thousand of missed calls, I'd think you were too." Jisoo counters. "Anyway, what's with the desperation? Jennie is still missing?"
"Oh, you're worried?" His sarcastic comment vexes Jisoo but she doesn't argue and listens what he wants to speak. "Congratulations! Your bestfriend ditched me and left me like a fool. On this very big day. You know what I have to do because she left me alone?"
Jisoo walks down and responds a simple hum. He continues. "My family is already planning an arrangement with someone I don't even know. I have to beg them to not ruin my life by marrying me off to someone I don't love! Look what she did? I'm the only one fighting in the end while she freely walks away. I never knew she was this heartless. I thought we had something unique. We were deeply and madly in love. But-" Taehyung realizes he has been railing at Jisoo too much so he stops himself.
"So what are you gonna do now?" Jisoo thoughtfully questions. She is a girl with so much burdens to take care of yet she feels like she's obliged to at least cheer him as Jennie's friend. Jisoo is never that close with Taehyung, all they share is greetings and some topics relating Jennie.
"I have no fucking idea." Taehyung's long deep sigh echoes in their phone line. "My parents, especially my grandma is too devoted to find a spouse suitable for me-well for the family. And I can't find any outlet to get out. My family's reputation is on my shoulders."
"I don't know what you want me to say back but I hope you can find the solution." Jisoo awkwardly replies since she is in tight position. All she wants now is go back home, take a long shower, and finally sleep. Yet again, she isn't that apathetic to end the call and tell him to piss off.
Talking out what he's struggling with to a person who doesn't know him fully well to judge him, Taehyung gets this sort of relaxation eventually without him aware of it.
"Sorry for taking out my problem on you. I know it's not your fault my life sucks but thank you for listening."
"No problem. After all my friend left you-"
"Goodnight." He cuts her off and ends the call.
Jisoo stares at her black screen in disbelief. Seriously, what's with these guys not letting her finish the sentence and fuck off as they like?
Un-fucking-believable!

The next morning, Jisoo can't help herself but secretively steers to Seokjin's school as she misses her brother. It's been a week she doesn't get to see him since she is engrossed in working continuously.
Seokjin misunderstands her intentions and hates her that he yells whenever he sees her. That's why she doesn't show up in front of him and makes him feel uncomfortable with his friends around. She just stands far away and checks her dear brother. She concerns deeply about him as he's her only family member left in her life.
Although her intentions may appear unconcerned and neglected in Jin's eyes, she hides the reasons for his own good. She doesn't want to burden him and watch him suffer. She will bear all the burdens and deal them alone.
Seeing her brother's smile is enough for Jisoo. If he's in good hands and at ease, her wishes are answered.
Sometimes it suffocates her exorbitantly that she has no one to rely on except herself. She asks faith every day why her life has to be this harsh and cruel. There is not a single day she gets to sleep well because of the weight of worry since both of her parents were gone.
No matter how hard she works, she can't escape from the burdens her parents left behind.
Jisoo quickly hides behind the wall when she sees Jin walking along with his friends. He's saying something to them and they laugh in return. He jabs one of the boys and smirks cheekily.
This is her happiness after all. And she couldn't ask for more.
Suddenly getting emotional, Jisoo decides that she better heads to her job. On her way to work, she encounters someone with black mask dashing towards her direction.
Her eyes instantly reaches to his hand holding a luxury black bag. She waits till he is few gaps from her before placing her feet on his way subtly.
The guy lands on the ground smashing his face with a loud thud. Jisoo steps on his back and snatches the bag. The guy groans and tries to attack her by grabbing her leg which she dodges it deftly and steps on his hand with her other feet.
"Thank goodness!" An elderly woman sighs and places her hand over her chest.
Jisoo moves away when a man in black suit grabs the guy to stand up, she assumes he's with the woman considering their ostentatious appearances.
Giving the woman a brief bow, Jisoo checks her watch to see she's going to be late if she didn't run now. So she does.
