Jisoo does not know where to put her hands on his tall body but Jungkook has wrapped his hands around her waist in a tight lock.
She regains her sense back. "Can you even dance?"
A corner of his lip twitches. "Why? Are you afraid I might step on your feet? Don't worry, little thief. I won't hurt you."
Rolling her eyes, Jisoo tries to push his chest away. He holds her in place and calls for her attention by brushing his hand way up from her waist to the side of her breast, her naked collarbone, her shoulder, and stops when it reaches to her gloved hand. She widens her eyes at him in disbelief as he intertwines their fingers.
She opens her mouth to object but he startles her by pulling her closer to him, eliciting a sharp gasp from her. He chuckles at the sound and leans down. His warm lips kiss her ear. "Do you realize how bewitching you are, little thief?"
She felt shyness when Taehyung called her beautiful but the way Jungkook addresses her intimately like this, renders her heart to skip faster than it already has. The guy sure knows how to talk.
"Don't speak nonsense and let go of me." She wiggles her hand from his grip and looks around their surrounding. She is relieved to see everyone is busy enjoying the dance and party to check on them.
But her eyes lock with Taehyung across two couples on the dance floor. Does he notice the weird behaviour of his brother and thinks of her differently? She couldn't believe herself when she said it wasn't unnecessary to tell Grandma about Jungkook's disrespectful acts towards her. She knows Grandma won't let this jerk roam freely afterwards.
Yet, she defended him like an idiot.
"It's really pleasing to see Mr. Saint Taehyung losing his shit."
Jisoo flinches at his words and looks back at Taehyung. He looks like he isn't focusing on the dance with his partner in his arms at all. His eyes are on them with a cold gaze. She then raises her chin to meet the guy she's dancing with.
Is Jungkook using her to anger Taehyung?
She doesn't know why that notion bothers her that much. After all, she is aware of the kind of man Jungkook is. An asshole full of himself who doesn't care about anyone other than his own satisfaction and joy.
Her thoughts are interrupted when Jungkook pushes her body away smoothly but still holding her hand, surprising her, before he tugs her back to him. Jisoo twirls and rolls into his arm like a mat, bumping into his chest with a loud pant.
"It makes me want to tease you more." His lips are almost touching her cheek when he says that.
He returns to waltz as if he wasn't treating her like a lifeless doll. She dances according to his twists and turns, trying her best to catch on his swift movements. Her back hits his chest as he sniffs her naked collarbone briefly, his hand snaking around her waist up to her shoulder before he turns her body once again to face him.
"Stop." She warns him and it's only then he drags their bodies closer to continue the slow dancing.
"Have I told you that you are so freaking gorgeous tonight?" He smirks down at her, taking in her appearance for the umpteenth times.
"People are watching, Jungkook. Don't make a scene." She glances at Taehyung and pleads him to exchange partners.
Taehyung has witnessed the yet again rough scene of the two and can't help but feel enraged. His brother is definitely trying to ruin his reputation and plan. He tells the girl he's dancing with and takes closer dance steps towards them.
"Let's change the partners." Jisoo glares at Jungkook. "It's very inappropriate for you to touch me like that in public."
"But you enjoy it, little thief. You like it when I touch you inappropriately and look at you as if I was imagining you naked under the dresses he brought for you, don't you?"
Jisoo's eyes widened at the shameless details he said about her. "You..."
"...are hot. I know." He completes her sentence with a grin. "Admit it, little thief. You don't hate me at all. You just hate the fact that despite your strong willpower, your heart still chooses me."
"Enough." Taehyung appears between them and takes Jisoo by her hand from Jungkook. "It's time for the engagement rings."
Her heart is beating loudly although she attempts to calm it down. She is freaking out if what Jungkook said was true or not. This is not what she intended when she decided to agree being Taehyung's fake fiancée. She never wanted to tangle with Kim Family, especially not emotionally. But with Jungkook adamantly knocking on the wall she builds inside her heart, she can't fight him back.
There is no way she is developing feelings for a guy like him.
Taehyung is practically dragging her to the stage to exchange the rings and make the engagement day official. His family is already on the stage with the prepared rings carry by the staff members.
Jisoo does not hear what Grandma is saying with the mic to the crowd, as her eyes flit from one person to another among the guests. She spots Jungkook leaning on the white column with hands folded. He is watching her search for his existence and the satisfaction he gets to see her do that is written all over his arrogant face.
She lowers her head and swallows down. This is not the time to play around with an immature person like him. She faces Taehyung and he's already taking her hand to slide the diamond ring around her finger. When he does that, everyone claps and cheers.
But when it's her turn to put the ring, Jisoo is stopped by the loud yell, a familiar voice.
Both Taehyung and Jisoo's heads turn to see who just yelled, including the guests and his family. Jisoo's eyes expand in shock so are Taehyung's.
It's Jennie. Her friend who has been missing for two months.
