"Oh, thank goodness you finally came around, and got claimed."
Cristal sighed out of relief hugging her now dear friend.
"Welcome officially to the pack, Kavyaa, and congratulations on finding your true mate."
Roxanne said hugging her next.
The girls lounged at the pool house.
The bite mark had turned into a small sized crescent shape. Each time, Kavyaa lingered her hand over it, she thought of her beloved.
"You guys I was so scared. When Diego bit me, I felt an extreme pain but it strangely died down. I honestly thought I was going to die."
Cristal and Roxxane had already been claimed by their Alpha. Their marks were small red in colour barely visible.
"Wait why is mine white and not red like you guys?"
Cristal and Roxxane chuckled.
"We've been marked by Alpha Luciano. He's not our true mate, and he's stink on us has faded. Having said that, no male wolf can touch us, because we carry he's mark. It's a sort of protection stamp on us."
"Hmm, but I always thought you liked Mercutio?"
"I do! Look he has the right to be with me and you know what it's complicated." Cristal sighed.
"You should just let him mark you Cristal."
"You know I can't. I have a debt to pay off to Luciano."
"A debt?"
"Most of the girls in his harem have a debt to pay. Others are professional exotic dancers that help with the clubs entertainment. Luciano pays us generously. However the girls in debt aka us whatever we make goes to him."
"What happens once you guys clear the debt?"
"He throws us a party to congratulate us, then asks us to keep working for the pack or if we wish, we are free to start a fresh life."
"Most girls and guys for that matter think of him as family and choose to work for him whilst others decide to leave and be with their families. Either way if we leave or don't. We would always still have a place in the pack."
"Just like your true mate, Diego. He owes Luciano after he saved his life from a horrible rogue attack." Roxxane said.
Kavyaa nodded knowing he'd mention this to him before.
"Well the good thing about having a mate Kavyaa, is that he'd never hurt you. He's your soul and protector."
Roxxane then sniffed her by her head, making Kavyaa surprised.
"And no male wolf will go near you, because now you carry the stink of Diego."
"Stink? Strange I can't smell him on me?"
"Because you're a weak little mortal." Snapped a very crude jelous she-wolf in the corner.
Kavyaa stood up knowing how strongly and heartbroken she was that Diego chose her over her.
"Maria I -"
In a sudden flash move she caught her and pinned her up against the wall.
"Maria!" Cristal said pulling out her claws ready to attack her.
