"Corderito."

I mumbled from my lips.

"What's that, tesoro?" Asked Diego who was busy taking out the milk from the fridge.

This kitchen was huge. With two chimneys and eight stoves. A large white marble island stretched in the middle, and there were at least four fridges stationed by two walls.

"Nothing." I spoke shaking my head, glancing away from his forest green eyes.

I couldn't believe he had very powerful hearing. I had to be careful around him.

Although, I was conflicted with my thoughts regarding him. Despite being the enemy. Diego had been nothing but kind towards me.

Yes a part of me hated the fact that he locked me up, but I guess he couldn't help it. After all he was following orders from his boss Luciano, whom I was most afraid off other than Mercutio.

I watched as Diego headed over to a another fridge by a corner.

He pulled out some vanilla ice cream next, surprising me. Why was he doing that?

"Oh no need to be shy around me corderito. You can speak to me, I promise I don't bite." He winked at me with a toothy grin.

"Funny pun, coming from a wolf man." I spoke in a short sarcastic tone not amused by that comment. I couldn't help but have my guard up around him. I glued my eyes to the kitchen knife briefly behind him. Diego noticed and blocked my view opposite from me from the island I sat at.

"Whose fixing you a nice glass of milkshake." He chimed adding a glass of milk in the blender and two scoops of vanilla ice cream.

"Do you like chocolate tesoro?"

Corderito and tesoro, how many names did he have for me?

I didn't wish to respond since I was still vary of him. He was a supernatural creature, who had the ability to read minds.

Yes.

I stared at him, answering through my head.

Diego gave me an odd look.

"Tesoro I asked you a question? Why are you staring at me like that and why have you gone so mute?"

I was shocked and puzzled all at once and slightly embarrassed.

"Oh? I'm s-sorry, I didn't mean to stare like that, I thought you can read minds? So I said yes in my head." I nervously said feeling those stupid jittery butterflies playing inside of me, when he gazed at me like that.

Diego chuckled amused, and pulled out the chocolate syrup. I watched him add a few tea spoons of it, swiftly.

"Yes. I can read minds. It's called locharta which means wolf talk."

[A/N LOCHARTA I made this word up. It's just another word for mindlink.]

Wolf talk?

"So, does locharta mean that you can only communicate telepathically with wolves only?"

Diego closed the lid and blended the milk with the ice-cream. After less then 2 minutes he poured the liquid out in a glass. After adding a straw he gave it to me.

"Here you go."

I blushed as he watched me taking a sip out of it.

"Hmm, it's delicious." I smiled in all honesty.

"Thank-you tesoro." He then poured himself a glass too.

"What is the kitten doing out of her prison room?" A voice startled me from behind.
