I watch nervously as Akaza walks threateningly towards a chuckling Doma. Doma isn't scared in the slightest. It looks like he's enjoying himself. I stay hidden behind Kokushibo.

"Nakime. Can you teleport me to a different platform?" She strums her biwa once and I'm suddenly on the ceiling, looking down at the Kizuki members. "Come and catch me." I wave at them, smiling. They try to get to me, but Nakime teleports me away, further and further from them. I giggle. I start running away and I'm suddenly behind Akaza.

"Akaza. Here I am." I smack his back playfully. I turn around, starting to run away again. My feet feel light. I don't even feel tired. "Nakime. To the main platform." I'm suddenly standing on the platform. Arms wrap around me and I gasp. I look back and it's not the top three Upper demons. It's Upper Rank 6. He's scary looking. Mostly muscular with a thin waist. Green hair and yellow colored eyes.

Akaza lands in front of me. He looks slightly worried. "Let her go, Gyutaro." He says, sounding angry. Kokushibo and Doma appear next to Akaza.

Gyutaro just laughs. "Daki. My sweet little sister." He says, chuckling again.

"What is it, big brother?" I see her come into view from behind us as she speaks. She's wearing revealing clothing and she has a moving scarf on her body.

"Do you remember five years ago? We turned a human child. What was his name?" He keeps his arm firmly wrapped around me. I try to move out of his grasp, but he uses his free hand to wrap around my throat.

Daki giggles. "Let me think a moment." She replies, smiling happily.

"You can't hurt me. Muzan's Muzan from won't let you." I say, trying to sound confident in my threat. But he just laughs again.

"He's just using you. A means to get closer to the demon slayers. The very ones that killed your older brother." I freeze up. My breath hitches. I look at the floor and look back up at the other three demons in front of me.

Doma speaks up first. "Lord Muzan isn't using Lyla for anything." I blink, looking up at Doma. Akaza steps forward. "What do you mean by older brother?" Akaza asks softly. His face showed concern. Is that concern? Concern for me.

I open my mouth to speak but Gyutaro's hand covers my mouth. I reach up with my hands to pull his hand away. But he doesn't budge. I try struggling and he lifts me about two feet off of the floor. My feet dangling.

"You can't speak yet, girlie. Lyla here and her older brother Kai were playing in the woods about five years ago." He watches their reactions and I try to scream but my voice is muffled. "Daki and I were in the area. Kai, Lyla's brother got attacked by a bandit. Your brother was bleeding and still tried to protect you. So we killed the bandit and turned Kai into a demon. A couple months later, demon slayers showed up." I struggle harder, tears falling down my cheeks. Gyutaro lowers his hand. "What was the name of that demon slayer? Oh, I remember." He drops me to the floor. I land on my hands and knees.

"The flame Hashira, Rengoku." He finishes and my hands clench into fists. Akaza comes over and rubs my back. Kokushibo doesn't say anything. Doma steps forward. I start to talk before he does.

"That's right. I was held back by a demon slayer while I watched Rengoku cut off my brother's head. He was a good demon. He only wanted to protect me." The memories of my brother and I sneaking into the woods. It was a cloudy day where he didn't have to hide during the day." I turn and look up at Gyutaro.

"Maybe if he hadn't become a demon, it wouldn't hurt as much. But just knowing that demon slayers were behind it, it makes me want revenge. Is that what you want to hear?" Daki giggles.

Gyutaro crouches down in front of me. "Do you want to know why we turned him into a demon, Lyla?" I look up at him, trying to stop my tears. "Why?" I ask. "Because he was willing to sacrifice himself for you. Like I would for my younger sister Daki. If you want revenge, you should take it. Become a demon yourself. You're useless as a human being." He shrugs. "Fragile."

He reaches towards me, cupping my cheek with his large hand. "I don't want to be useless." I whisper to myself. His thumb wipes a stray tear. Akaza leans down and whispers into my ear. "I'll help you get revenge on Rengoku. I swear." I look at Akaza and smile. "Thanks."

I gasp when I'm suddenly in Muzan's arms being held up like a bride. "Muzan? You're back?"

Muzan doesn't look at me. He looks at the Kizuki members as they stand up straight. His aura is threatening. "Who made Lyla cry?" No one answers. They keep their mouths shut. Not even looking at each other. Muzan's veins in his face are raised. His eyes dart from one demon to the next.

"I see now. Everyone leave us. NOW!" I watch as Nakime makes everyone disappear. I feel small and fragile in Muzan's arms.

"I'm sorry." He says softly. My eyes widen as I hear those words come from the king of demons' mouth.
