The four women had just passed a sign that said 'WELCOME TO RENO!' Talia smiled at the sight, feeling at home in the town she grew up in. Phoebe and Lucy were still groggy and sleepy, while Julien was somehow wide awake. She was bouncing with excitement, making her look like a little puppy.
"You excited, Jules?" Talia asked sarcastically. Julien quickly nodded her head and gazed out of the window with amazement.
"Real excited," Julien spoke, southern accent slipping out, "I've always loved Reno. And I can't wait to see your family again."
"I can't wait to see them either," the redhead agreed. She gave a sideways glance to Julien, trying to sneak a look at her. It seemed that the brunette caught her, smirking at Talia playfully.
"What're you lookin' at?" Julien said with a twang.
Talia giggled at her Tennessee accent. "Oh, nothing... Y'know, sometimes you slip into an accent."
Julien's head whipped to look at Talia, eyes mock-glaring. "What accent?"
"The southern accent, Julie."
"I do not have a southern accent!" Julien defended herself.
Talia rolled her eyes playfully and teased, "yeah, you do. You slip into it when you're tired or excited. Like that one time you fell asleep at my house, you woke up in the morning and were talking like you were straight out of Brokeback Mountain."
Julien's eyes softened at the younger woman, "do you really pay that much attention to me?"
Talia's face started to heat up subconsciously, "okay, maybe I do. But can you blame me?" To add to the redhead's already growing flutter, Julien placed her palm on Talia's thigh. The brunette moved her face closer to Talia's, kissing her jaw softly.
