"You guys gonna be good?" Evelyn was leaned up against the side of one of the garage door frames, eyes tracking every movement that happened around her.

"We'll be good." Glenn promised with a nod of his head, sending the woman a smile, along with Maggie, who stood beside her.

"It should just be a quick in and out." Tara continued, "Nothing to be too concerned about."

Evelyn's eyes shot to Aiden, who was throwing his pack into the van behind them, "I shouldn't even be concerned about him?" She recalled the time mere days ago when she walked over to him screaming at Glenn and trying to fight him.

"Nah, I'll keep an eye on him." Noah joked, causing everyone to smile a little bit, "But seriously, though, we'll be fine."

The woman nodded, "I know."

Glenn kissed his wife one last time before hugging Evelyn and ushering the other two to the van that was now waiting for them to hop in.

As the two women waved them off, Wright turned to face her friend, "I feel like we're housewives waving goodbye to our husbands in those really old movies."

That got the woman to laugh loudly for a moment before she sobered up, "I've got a couple things I need to do, I'll see you later."

Evelyn let out a breath, "Yeah, I've got my first day of work anyways."

Maggie stilled in her steps as she turned to face the woman, "Nervous?"

"A bit," She told her honestly, "It's been so long since I've taught."

She smiled and grabbed her hand, squeezing it once, "You'll do great, I can't wait to hear all about it later."

Adorning a wide smile, Evelyn squeezed her hand back, "Thanks."

With that, the women went their separate ways, Evelyn on her way to the 'school' that Deanna had pointed out to her earlier that day.

She wanted to get there a bit early and get her bearings, they had some supplies so she didn't have to worry about that at least, and she had stayed up until way too late the night before planning out the day in her head.

She settled on some basic lessons for each age group, considering there would be a range, deciding to take it easy on the first day.

When she got to the house, she pushed open the door and took in the room. It was an open floor plan with about eight rectangular tables set up to face the front of the room, where a whiteboard was set up. There were various different kinds of chairs scattered throughout all the tables.

It didn't take long until kids began trickling in, chatting amongst themselves and taking what she assumed to be their regular seats.

Carl and Finn were some of the first ones, arriving together and waving happily at her before taking their seats in the front row.

Evelyn sucked in a breath, trying to prepare herself for what was to come.

"Maggie! Hey, wait up!" Evelyn rushed to her friend, a wide grin sitting on her face.

The woman's footsteps stopped but she didn't turn around, her head was hanging low as she stood still in the middle of the street.

Evelyn didn't really notice her strange mood, though, she was too much in her own, happy world to do so.

"Oh, Maggie. The day was just amazing, first I had the kids-" She placed a hand on the woman's shoulder, but stopped as soon as the woman turned around.
