Blaise sat at the table, two glasses of red wine were placed in front of him. His long fingers tapped the table, a rhythm beat setting upon the table. The boy was known for him impatience, as he did not like to be kept waiting. The tapping became more rapid as a small frown on his face. He was waiting, hoping that Aurora would turn up.
"Why did you have to invite her?" Draco muttered, his eyes fixated on his drink. He was in a mood and it was understandable why.
His father was arrested and sitting in Azkaban. Although Draco knew his father was to be partly at blame, he also couldn't shake the anger from the Potter's. The other reason was he had gotten the dark mark and was given a task that he had to fulfill.
His friends knew about it as he had confided in them in secret. A secret they would keep to the grave. When Draco had a meltdown, getting drunk and mumbling incoherent words, his friends had finally got it out of him. They made an Unbreakable Vow one another. He knew they would keep it, for the Vow kept them tight.
"Because she is my friend. If any of you make her uncomfortable I swear I will fucking kick you out. The girl has gone through so much, and I don't want anyone reminding her off it". Blaise warned, his eyes going dark.
Blaise was known to be the most chillest out of his friends. You would hardly see him in a fight, but when it came to someone he cared about, people would back away. For his anger was something well hidden and guarded. Once there was a tear in the amour, his anger would surface until he couldn't keep it hidden anymore.
Draco looked up at his friend, to see that he, in fact serious about this threat. His lips went into a thin line once more as he looked down at the table, his fist clenching.
"I think it's nice you invited her". Pansy said suddenly. She brought her drink to her lips, her eyes catching Blaise's. A warm tint of red flushed her cheeks when he looked at her.
"I do too, she is nice Draco when you get to know her. If you had asked me last summer if I was going to spend my evening with one half of the Potter twins, I would have told you that you had gone mad. But getting to know her, seeing her for who she is...give her a chance. Because we have, and I feel she will be a friend you would need. I know your upset, it's completely understandable, but have you even thought how she is feeling?" Daphne asked, her hand gently touching the clenched fist of Draco.
Draco turned his head to look at the blonde girl. His jaw tight. He clenched his drink in his hand and looked down, his nodding for a moment.
Theodore rolled his eyes as he drank his drink. He was bored. He wanted some excitement here and everyone was too preoccupied thinking about whether the Gryffindor Princess would make an appearance or not.
"I'm getting another drink". He muttered as he walked away from the table. His head was hurting, and he could feel his anger bubbling. All summer he had been angry, and he could not find the answer of why he was angry.
When he walked into Blaise's and saw the red haired Potter sitting down, his anger had subsided for a moment. When they made eye contact his anger resurfaced as he could see the pain in her eyes.
Theodore insisted to himself that he did not like Aurora, not in the way Blaise claimed he did. Yeah, he believed the girl to be beautiful, perhaps the most beautiful girl he had set eyes on. But he couldn't, she was his enemy. Since first year, when the two would but heads he swore to get here everyday. His father had told him things, brought him up to walk the way he walked. Talk the way he walked. And be around those who where the same blood as him, and had the same beliefs as him.
Theo poured himself a large fire whisky, immediately knocking the whole drink back. He slammed the glass down on the table, pouring himself another drink. His head turned when he could feel eyes on him, a small smug smirk formed on his face as a group of older ladies smiled at him. He knew he had the charm when it came to women.
