Three days had passed and Aurora had not seen Theodore. He wasn't attending lessons or lunch and dinner. Aurora had it in her mind that he was avoiding her and thought that there kiss had been a mistake. She, on the other hand could not get the kiss out of her head. Blaise had told her that he wasn't feeling the best, and that he didn't want to attend any of his lessons.
Blaise had informed his best friend, that Theo had been acting rather strange. When he came back from the detention with her, he stormed into the common room and told his friends that he had 'made a mistake'. At those words, Aurora truly believed that the kiss they shared was a mistake, and that is what he thought of it.
Aurora looked at the wall, wandering if this was in the best place. Since McGonagall made her quidditch captain, she had to get new players. With only Harry, Katie and herself from the orignal team, she had to find two new beaters, a third chaser and a keeper. Aurora knew that she would never find two better beaters than Fred and George Weasley, the two were gifted. Ron kept telling her that last year was the only year he would partake, but Aurora knew she needed him on the team.
"I'm thinking of trying out you know". A voice muttered from behind her.
Aurora turned to look at Cormac McLaggen. She struggled to not roll her eyes at the tall boy, opting to look away instead. "Well that's nice to know". She muttered back. She knew that he was going to try out for keeper, as each time she saw him he would brag to his friends about how good he was. She already had a keeper and that was Ron, but to be fair, she was allowing everyone to try out.
"I'm actually a good quidditch player you know". He said, his charming smile on his face. Aurora nodded, forcing a smile. "Well, I guess we will see won't we when it's time to practice". Aurora said. She stepped out of the common room, her bag over her shoulder.
Her first lesson was charms, and Neville was right as they did learn how to change vinegar into wine. The rest of the day dragged, her last lesson would be double potions, and her partner was the one person that she wanted to see all day. Aurora didn't know why she wanted to see Theo. Maybe it was to see how he would react when she was around him, if he would speak to her. Maybe he would go back to his old way, and make jeers at her.
Aurora walked down the corridors after lunch, wanting to get some fresh air before going to her final lesson. She wasn't hungry, so she didn't eat. Blaise had picked up on the fact that his friend was not eating, and kept telling her that breakfast and lunch where two important meals that she could not miss out on.
Aurora smiled softly at people as she passed them. She was making her way to the covered bridge that was at the end of the Clock Tower Courtyard. Her hands rested agaisnt the wood as she looked out at the grounds of Hogwarts, the wind high as her hair flew around the place.
Her head turned slightly as she could hear footsteps making there way towards her. Her eyes shut for a moment, a sigh escaping her lips as she was faced with her ex boyfriend.
Aurora went to step past him as she didn't have anything to say to him. She wasn't going anywhere as he grabbed her arm, stopping her from going anywhere.
"Have you seen my face?" He asked, his voice low.
Aurora looked forwards, not wanting to look at him. Just by the tone in his voice and the way he was holding her arm, she knew he was angry.
"Look at me when I am talking to you". He seethed, his grip getting tighter.
Aurora turned to look at him, her heart beating fast. His face was covered in bruises, his left eye was the worst.
"Your boyfriend did this to me". He spat.
"I was told that you hit him first". Aurora whispered, trying to pull her arm away. Alfie held her arm tighter, pulling her in closer.
"You threw everything that we had away, for a dirty Slytherin". He said, his head shaking. Aurora gasped as he grabbed her neck, his grip tight. "After everything I did for you, everything I gave you". He snarled, his grip getting tighter. Aurora scraped her long nails down his hand, struggling to breathe.
He finally let go, a smirk on his face as her hand came to her throat, watching as she tried to get her breath back. His hand shot up as he grabbed a handful of her hair, pulling her towards him. "You know I'm glad I fucked Fay now. And it wasn't just once, it was the entire summer and last year too. But then again, why should I feel any guilt when you did the same to me". He shouted, pulling her hair harder.
Aurora let out a cry, her head shaking. "I never cheated Alfie, I promise". She cried, the pain in her head growing.
Alfie's hand struck her face, his head shaking in anger. "Don't lie to me". He seethed. He let go, shoving her back into one of the posts that held the bridge up. "All you have done is lie to me". He spat.
Aurora's head turned to the side as his hand hit her face once more, the taste of blood filled her mouth. "I bet you've been laughing about me this entire time behind my back haven't you?" He asked. When Aurora didn't answer, he grabbed her neck once more, forcing her to look at him. She winced as he applied more pressure, more than last time. "I hate you, I fucking hate you". He spat.
He pushed her away again, his fingers running through his hair. "You know, you should'nt be in Gryffindor, you belong in Slytherin". He said. He smirked as he looked her up and down. "Continue being the little slytherin whore you are".
Alfie let out a loud gasp as he was thrown backwards, his back hitting the wooden polls hard. She opened her eyes to see him sitting down on the ground, his eyes wide as he looked up at her.
"How.." He whispered, his head shaking. The shock in his eyes where replaced with anger, as he got to his feet straight away, his hand reaching into his pocket. Aurora was faster, her wand pointed at his throat.
"Don't think I won't do it, because I will. Now turn around and leave, before I do something that won't be reversed". She spat, her eyes full of tears.
Alfie looked down at her, his eyes wide. He took some steps back, before rushing off. Aurora's breath was shaky as she was left alone on the bridge, her fists clenching. Aurora leant over the bridge, as she let out a loud scream, her eyes clenched in anger. Bellow her the water began to rise, the higher it got the more she screamed. When her eyes opened, she looked at the water in shock, her body moving backwards.
The water flew down, causing a loud splash. Aurora shut her eyes once more as a tear slid down her cheek.
Oh, how she hated Alfie Lennon.
