The first week off school had flew by to quickly, quicker than Aurora had expected it too. Since there potions lesson, Theodore was avoiding Aurora at all costs. Blaise had quickly caught on, trying his hardest to get through to his friend. Theo told him to drop it, which caused Blaise to turn to Aurora, trying to get her to admit it was Theo she had smelled. On the Sunday, Aurora told him to stop, getting angry with her friend with the constant mention of Theo.
Aurora looked down at her timetable and ran a fingers through her hair. She let out a sigh and wrote something down. November would mark the Quidditch season, and she knew she needed people on her team. Now that the best Beaters the school had seen were gone, she would have to find someone to replace George and Fred. She also needed a new Chaser to join Katie and herself. On Mondays there would be Quidditch practise. Tuesday's prefect meetings. Wensday night patrolling the castle. On thursday it would be another prefect meeting. And then Friday night she would be patrolling again.
During that she was meant to fit in her study dates with Blaise, Pansy and Daphne. Aurora knew she was getting to over her head, with trying to sort her school life and her personal life, she could see her falling deeper into despair.
It was Friday and everyone was talking about the Hufflepuff party. Aurora was still unsure on whether she was going or not, she couldn't risk getting angry and revealing her secrets to others.
She looked up when she saw someone standing beside her. "Here is your partner for patrolling Aurora". Lisa said as she handed her a sheet. Aurora looked down and let out a loud sigh, causing Ron, Harry and Hermione to look up.
"I got Malfoy. Who did you get Ron?" She asked looking up.
"Ernie". He muttered, food in his mouth. Hermione looked at him with disgust, whilst Harry smiled widely.
"This is amazing Aurora. This means you'll be close to him, watch him and get close, see if he lets anything slip". He said.
"I'm not being your spy because you think Draco is a bloody Death Eater". She whispered. She looked back down at her papers, her hands going back into her hair.
"Why won't you believe he is? Theodore Nott too, he was there. Have you not seen how the two of them are acting. They look sick, they aren't themselves". Harry whispered for the four of them to hear.
Aurora's head shot up. "Harry I swear if you don't shut up I'll break your glasses. Just drop it, because the only person that will be sick will be me, because you are driving me mental". She snapped.
Aurora picked her things up and stood up. "Honestly this has to stop. And you both need to stop. I don't want to hear anything like that again Ron. You don't know Blaise you can't say things like that like you did in potions. Keep your prejudice to yourselves, because I really don't care what you think or have to say anymore. He is my friend, and you are all blinded by hate that you can't see what your doing. I'm trying my hardest to be calm, to not flip but your not helping".
Harry went to open his mouth, but stopped when his jug of juice flew at him, landing on his lap. He looked up at Aurora, a glare on his face.
Aurora looked at the jug for a moment, her chest rising. She didn't mean to get angry and use her magic like that, she had sworn to herself that she would try and control it when she was at school.
Aurora stormed out of the great hall, her jaw twitching. Her long hair was flying around the place as the wind picked up, her face hard.
Aurora stepped into the open courtyard and turned the corner letting out a small gasp as she bashed into something hard.
Her papers fell to the floor, a small sigh leaving her lips. She looked up to see Theo and Draco. Theo turned his head to look at her, his jaw twitching for a moment before looking away from her. His eyes shut when he could smell her perfume, the perfume that was plaguing all of this thoughts.
Aurora bent down, picking up her papers. She was still angry with Harry, her hands shaking as she tried to collect all her belongings. She stopped for a moment when someone bent down helping her, their hand placing over her own for a moment. There hands quickly moved away from each other, a spark coursing through there bodies. She looked up meeting the dark blue eyes of Theo. He handed her the papers not saying anything.
She looked up and met the eyes of Draco Malfoy. "Watch where your going Potter". He snapped. He looked stressed, like she had walked into a conversation she wasn't supposed to be in.
"I didn't see you". She snapped back.
She went to walk around him, but she was dragged back. "I know we are partners for patrolling, but don't let that get to your head thinking we will be friends. We may of had a drink with each other, we may of laughed that night...but that was it. You stay out of my way, and I'll stay out of yours and we will be fine". He growled.
Aurora looked at him with wide eyes. "Let go of my arm". She whispered. The light in the corner started to flicker, and she knew that she would have to calm herself down. With her act in the Great Hall, she didn't need to make a show even more and have people asking questions.
"Draco let go of her". Theo muttered, his dark eyes on his friends.
When he didn't, she pried his fingers away. "Your hurting me". She shouted. Draco wasn't listening as he continued to glare at her, his grip still tight. It all happened quickly, for any of them to comprehend. Draco was shoved backwards, his back hitting the wall as Aurora glared at him, her eyes dark. Her fist was clenched, her breathing harsh.
She realised what she had done, as she tried to control her breathing, her mouth opening to try and say sorry.
"How did you do that?" Draco whispered, a small frown on his face. She didn't even touch him, yet she was able to force him away.
"What the hell Draco". Theo snapped, his face turned up in anger. He had seen what Aurora had done, but didn't understand his friends actions in the first place.
"I'll talk to you later". Draco muttered as he stormed off.
Theo sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair, his eyes shutting as he leaned against the wall.
"Are you okay? I...I haven't seen you that much". Aurora muttered.
Theo opened his eyes, his face dull with no expression. "I'm fine". He muttered. He pushed himself of the wall, his jaw tight.
Aurora frowned as he stormed off, his long legs striding down the hall, and just like that he was out of sight.
