Chapter 14 - Chained

When Nastu opened his heavy eye lids, he half expected to wake up in Lucy's bed, which has become a habit, having temporarily forgotten what happened back at the guild. However, waking up with his hands chained to the wall behind him and his feet chained to the floor, was rather unanticipated, to say the least. The room was pitch black but cold like stone, suggesting it was a chamber of some sort. As his eyes adjusted to the dark, he noticed the the metal bars not to far away from him, acting as a prison gate. When a bright light abruptly formed, he squinted his eyes in pain, as he watched the torches on the walls of the corridor out side, light up one by one. Soon the sound of footsteps echoed down the hall untill a dark figure stood outside.

"What the fuck do you want with me?" growled Natsu.

"For you to join us," he smirked, the glare of the fire illuminating his evil grin, and before Natsu could respond, a dark tentacle looking object slid down the wall and wrapped round his torso and he let out a cry of unexplainable pain.

Acnologia laughed at his pain before jumping at the sound of an explosion up top. Cursing under his breath, he spun round and ran off, leaving the fire mage in an unbearable state.

"Lucy, you go find Natsu, whilst we ward off this arse hole," whispered Erza as they confidently stood their ground and glared at their enemy.

"Got it," nodded the pissed off celestial mage.

"Ready? Run!" Erza yelled, causing the blonde to take off towards the door that Acnologia had just entered through.

"You're not going anywhere, bitch," he cursed, directing his attention to her.

"You wanna bet!" Gray shouted as he created a large ice wall between Lucy and the enemy, whilst Erza showered him in swords.

Lucy mouthed a 'thank you' to her team, before she ran down a barely lit hall way. She turned the corner and faced a large stair case going so far down that she couldn't see the bottom. Inhaling deeply, she ran down, only thinking about finding Natsu. As she neared the bottom, she heard a familiar scream which made her heart ache. "Natsu!" she yelled as she came across his chamber, swinging open the fortunately unlocked door and summoning Cancer to free him from the chains. "Natsu, can you hear me?" she cried as she held his limp body. "It's me, Lucy."

"Lu...ce..." he murmured, struggling to keep his eyes open.

"That's right Natsu, I'm here," she assured. "We need to get you to Wendy."

"Lucy-San?"

She spun round to see her young blue haired friend staring worriedly at the body in the blonde's arms. "Wendy? Thank god. Please, can you heal Natsu?"

"Of course," she smiled weakly, running over and kneeling in front of them, placing her glowing hands above his wounded body.

Healing him took longer than expected and that scared Lucy. Especially as Wendy was getting more pale by the minute, and although receiving numerous "stop now, Wendy"s and disapproved looks from Charle, she still carried on. Until Lucy said. "Stop, please."

"But Lucy-San-"

"Seeing both of you in pain, hurts me, so please, take a break," she whispered.

The bluenette slumped back against the wall and tried to steady her breathing whilst the celestial mage held Natsu close, running her fingers through his hair. After five minutes, Wendy sat up a resumed her position. "Yosh, I can do this."

Don't hate me, I know it has been almost a month, but let me explain. A week after the last update, my phone broke and I didn't have one for two weeks, and this past week has been busy with helping my bro move house, prom, national dance competition and catching up with my lack of sleep, so although I started this chapter, it took me a while to finish. But here it is. And here I am. So more updates! Yay!

This fanfic is coming close to an end actually, maybe at chapter 18, I dunno. But no worries, there will be a book 2!
