'Eh? 1st!'

Lucy's widened when she noticed the founder of Fairy Tail standing at the other end of the room. "I understand that this isn't easy for you," said Mavis, taking a few steps towards the celestial mage.

"Am I dead?"

"It's complicated. Sit down and I'll explain everything." She gestured to a glass table with two chairs either side. When they were both sitting, she began; "we'll start with your mission. You came across a dark dragon slayer, right?" Lucy nodded. "And he hit you with his magic?" She looked down then nodded again. "To answer your first question, I'm sorry, but yes you are dead."

"I see," she whispered sadly.

"However, you haven't reached the afterlife yet."

"Then where are we?"

"The void between life and death; limbo," replied Mavis.

"Hang on, isn't limbo meant for the people who died with unfinished businesses?"

"Hai, or if a person is unable to move on."

"Then why am I here?" asked the celestial mage.

"Your body is here in limbo, therefore your soul is unable to move on."

"Why is my body here?"

"I brought it here," smiled 1st.

"Eh? But why?"

"I can revive you, and you can continue to live on as a proud member of Fairy Tail," answered Mavis.

"You can do that?"

"Hai, however it will take about 4 months."

"Arigato Mavis!"

"In the meantime, I can help make you stronger."

"How?"

"Being stuck in limbo for ages, I have researched a lot about magic, celestial magic being very interesting. There are 4 extra spells that you can learn, each connected to the 4 elements; fire, water, air and earth."

"Are you sure that I'm capable of learning them?"

"Of course! You're definitely strong enough," smiled Mavis.

Lucy's face lit up at the mention of her being strong. "Arigato!"

"We'll start tomorrow, get some rest until then."

"Oh, Mavis, can I ask you something?"

"Anything Lucy-Chan!"

"Why are you in limbo?"

Mavis sighed, "I shouldn't tell you this, but my body is trapped in magic crystal, frozen in time. My soul is still attached to it, therefore I'm stuck here."

"But why are you frozen?"

"I'm sorry, Lucy-Chan. I can't say anymore. Let me show you to your room."

"I didn't know there's rooms in limbo!"

"Oh you should be surprised by what's here," smirked Mavis, leading her down a narrow corridor. There was a door at the end of the hall, which she opened and let Lucy inside. There was a double bed with snowy covers, a wardrobe against one wall, and a large mirror hanging from another. What wasn't there though, was a window, leaving Lucy wondering where they were. "I'll come and get you in the morning. But don't feel like you are trapped in this room, you can leave if you want, I just think it would be better if you got some sleep."

"Okay, arigato Mavis."

She smiled again before leaving, closing the door behind her. 'I guess I should get some sleep' thought Lucy, climbing into the warm covers and shutting her eyes, drifting of to sleep.

Konichuwa! I'm back! Sorry if that wasn't the most exciting chapter, but I needed to make things clear. I'm not getting many views so I would appreciate it if you let other NaLu fans about this story, it will make me happy. Let me know what you think. Ta xx
