Chapter 10 - Luce?

Natsu was woken by the sun landing directly upon his face and the birds tweeting loudly outside his window. He sleepily rolled out of bed and pulled on some fresh clothes, before grabbing some food from the kitchen. As he was pulling his shoes on, something caught his eye. He walked over to the calendar, checking today's date. 'April 18th already huh?' he sighed, picking up a few jewels from the counter. "Oi, Happy!" he called, only to find that Happy wasn't there. He shrugged it off, deciding that he probably went to the guild already to see Charle.

The streets of Magnolia were packed as usual as he attemped to push his way through. He was wandering through the market stools when he noticed a bunch of bright pink roses in one of the flower stands.

After purchasing the roses from the woman at the market, he made his way up the hill he visited all the time. 'A lot has happened since you left us' sighed Natsu. 'First Cana, Wendy and Charle got attacked, then Gray and Erza. Everyone was so relieved when Wendy announced that Gray was okay that no one noticed that Romeo had gone missing, luckily the Raijinshu found him before Acnologia did." He set the roses down and sat down in front of the grave stone. "Happy birthday Lucy. Come back soon," he whispered, wiping a tear away.

"Hehe, you remembered," someone giggled.

He looked up to find a blonde girl in a long white dress sitting on the head stone, smiling softly. "Luce?"

"Tadaima, Natsu!"

He stood up, stumbling slightly. "Are you really back?"

The celestial mage jumped down, her left hand holding his and her right wiping away his tears. "I'm back, I promise," she assured.

"Thank God," he sighed in relief, pulling her closer and pressing his lips against hers. She eagerly returned the kiss as she wrapped her arms around his neck, entangling her hands into his soft, pink hair. They pulled apart and he re-took her hand, "come on, the guild is waiting."

Levy sighed deeply as she stirred the ice cubes in her drink about with her straw.

"What's up with you?" asked Cana.

"It's Lu-Chan's birthday today," she replied sadly.

"I see, I thought it was," sighed Cana, taking another swig of her drink.

"Yo guys!" yelled the familiar voice of the guild's troublemaker.

"You seem happy today Natsu-San!" smiled the young dragon slayer.

He nodded enthusiastically and stepped aside from the doorway. The guild froze when they noticed the blonde figure standing at the guild entrance.

"Lu-Chan!" the solid script mage yelled, braking the silence and running over to her best friend, hugging her tightly. She was soon followed by the rest of the guild who smothered her in hugs.

"Natsu-Nii?"

"Yeah Romeo?"

"Who's that?" he asked cautiously, pointing to the dark haired man walking towards the guild.

Natsu's eyes widened. "Get back!" he screamed, running out of the doors. "What do you want?"

"To kill," he replied simply, taking a huge breath. "Ankoko ryu no-"

"Karyu no-"

"Stop!" cried Lucy, pulling Natsu back in to the guild and running out ahead. "Celestial Waves: barrier!" she yelled as a large wall of tinted water shielded the guild.

"-hoko!" roared Acnologia as a breath of darkness headed for the blonde.

She smirked as the barrier absorbed all of his magic and stopped the attack. "Flames!" she chanted as the water evaporated and a burst of golden flames erupted and headed straight for the dark mage. He teleported away just as the fire singed him. "Hmph! Arsehole," mumbled Lucy as she turned back to the guild, who stared wide eyed and speachless. "What?"

And here I am with another chapter! And before you start, yes I know Lucy's birthday is July 1st, but July isn't 4 months away from January so I had to make it up... again. Anyway, I hoped you enjoyed this chapter, even though it's kinda short, and sorry for the wait and for any typos.
