The 3 Fairy Tail mages were on the train back to Magnolia, however, Natsu wasn't his usual sick self this journey. He was sitting with his head against the window, Lucy asleep with her head on his shoulder, and Happy was asleep on her lap. He assumed that having his girlfriend asleep on him with there hands intertwined was enough of a reason for him not to be sick. When the train rolled in at the station, Natsu gently woke up his sleeping partners and they exited the train together. As they were approaching the guild, Happy flew up and perched on Natsu's head. "Ne, Natsu, Lucy, how are the guild going to react to you two dating?"
"There's bound to be a lot of teasing," sighed the celestial mage.
"I don't care, I'm happy to be with you, Luce," grinned Natsu and squeezed her hand a little tighter. Lucy however was completely red and turned away quickly. Happy laughed evilly and and earned a mean look from Lucy.
As they reached the doors of Fairy Tail, the blonde took a breath, and both her and Natsu pushed the doors open with their free hand. The giggles, chatting and common fighting died down shortly after they entered and the whole guild stared at the new couple with either shock or smiles printed on their faces. Mira was the first to speak, well, squeal; "kyaaa! NaLu!"
"So you finally done it Flame Brain."
"Congratulations, Lu-Chan!"
"Dating is manly!"
"I'm happy for you Lucy-San."
"Yay Natsu-Nii!"
"Let's celebrate by having a drink!"
"Hai, hai, calm down," sighed Lucy. "I'll be with you in a minute Natsu, I need to talk to Levy-Chan."
"Sure Luce," he beamed as they parted ways, Natsu heading over to the bar. When he sat down he noticed Mira smiling weirdly at him. "What?"
"I knew you two would get together. How did it happen?"
"Well..." started Natsu, looking away to hide his pink cheeks.
"Natsu."
The bartender and the dragon slayer turned to see an armoured red head standing by the bar. "E-Erza?"
She looked sternly at him before her lips curled into a kind smile. "Look after her."
"Of course!"
Just then the scream of the short solid script mage pierced through the guild. "Lu-Chan! Lu-Chan what happened? Hey wake up! Natsu come quick!"
Natsu's eyes widened in horror when he peered over his shoulder to find the spirit mage unconscious on the floor, the small bluenette leaning over her. He sprinted over amd held her protectively near his chest. "Oi, Luce! What's wrong? Wake up, please! Wendy!"
The sky dragon slayer perked up at the mention of her name, "h-hai!" She jogged over to the blonde and dropped to her knees, holding her hands out, palms down, over Lucy's body. Light shone down from Wendy's hands and Lucy's body began to glow, however, she didn't stir. "Gomenesai, Natsu-San, it's not working," she whispered, her voice shaking.
A tear rolled down the fire mage's face and landed on the celestial mage's cold cheek as he lifted her up and carried her to the infirmary.

It had been 3 days since Lucy collapsed and she still hadn't awoken. Natsu had been with her in the infirmary the entire time waiting for her to wake up. From exhaustion, the dragon slayer had fallen asleep sitting in the chair next to Lucy's bed, his head on the mattress, his hand holding hers. The high pitched monotone beep of the machine woke the pinkette up, the screen explaining that she'd stopped breathing. In panic, Natsu placed his hand on her chest, realising that her heart wasn't beating. "Oi Lucy, what's happening?" he asked, shaking her gently. His worry increased when her body was enclosed in a field of yellow light. "Oi, Gramps, get in here!"
The door burst open a few seconds later and the master came running in, followed by the rest of team Natsu. "What's happening, Natsu?"
"I don't know. Lucy stopped breathing and her body started glowing," replied Natsu, worry echoing in his voice.
"No, she cant be..." murmured Makarov, running to her side and standing the chair opposite Natsu.
"Master, what is happening to Lucy?" asked the requip mage.
The light surrounding the celestial mage intensified and her body grew transparent.

'Areh? What's happening to me?' Thought Lucy. She looked down at the infirmary bed below her and noticed herself lying there, bathed in yellow light, Natsu next to her still holding her hand, Master standing on a chair the other side of her and the rest of her team gathered at the end of the bed. 'Am I dead?' Her body in the infirmary emitted a great light before fading away, leaving just her keys on the bed. She watched as her friends continued to cry, tears brewing in her eyes too. When she noticed Natsu crying more than he'd ever done with her keys held firmly in his hands, she felt a piece of her break away.
"Lucy!"
'Natsu, I'm sorry.' Her surroundings suddenly turned white and she found herself in an empty room. 'Where am I?'
"Sorry for bringing you here, Lucy-Chan."
"Who's there?" she scanned the room and noticed a short woman with a long white dress and wavy blonde hair. She smiled at Lucy warmly. "Eh? 1st!"
