      Edward pov

Our first real date night and it was going perfect.

My wife was really enjoying herself. We only had one small problem.

Right now the band and them were taking a break and I was getting my wife something to drink.

"Got a problem honey!" My wife told me with her mind. I grabbed the beers and whiskey on the rocks and went back to table.

Oh great! Now it was her turn with the guys. I set the drinks on the table.

I went to reach for her and the guy pulled her behind him.

"Excuse me, but that's my wife you put behind you." I told him.

"Oh, all I wanted to know if she have one dance with me but she would not answer me." He told me.

"That's because she doesn't talk to no one!" I reached my hand out and she took it and I pulled her behind never letting go of her hand.

"She sings, so she's talks." He says. "You, really don't get it do you. She doesn't talk to anyone. She only talks a few words to me. Yes she sings but that's it. She tells me with her eyes what's she wants or wants to tell me. It took me a long time for her to trust me. For you to think that she just talk to you or anyone else is just stupid. It's people like you is the reason she doesn't speak at all or other things. So get the hell out of my sight." He took a swing and I bent backwards dodging out of the way.

When I stood back up I looked up Bella and I blinked at her because her defense mechanism didn't kick in.

I lifted our hands up and looked at them a minute.

Don't let go! I'm the key! I looked into her eyes and she was just as surprised as I was.

I took her other hand into mine. "I'm the key baby!" Her eyes locked with mine.

"Your dad told us that in the beginning. I get it now. I'm your key. I can control your mechanisms." I lifted our hands up.

I pulled Bella against me dodging another punch.

This guy played dirty. Our eyes closed and that's when we went into battle mode.

We never let go of each other hand. We got into our fighting stance and then we let go.

We stayed close together though. Another guy showed up beside him.

We dodged blows we even moved as we were one fighting as one.

It was amazing all at the same time. The first time we actually battle together.

When we face to face we froze locking our eyes together.

I slid my hand down my wife neck and brought her against me.

She came out of battle mode and so did I. I couldn't help but press my lips to hers and deepen it.

"Good girl!" I told her pulling away. "Now anyone else want to take there chances against us and try to get in between us. We are off limits. Got it!" I told everyone.

I was making my point! Don't fuck with us! This was our date night and I mean no one was going to ruin it for us.

I pulled my wife back to table and she slammed her whiskey on the rocks down first.

I chuckled at her. She leaned back against my and I wrapped my hair around her from behind her and held her against against me.

Then I got a sense of danger. I looked down at my wife and her eyes were locked on something.
