One Piece x Reader AU/Modern

The feast begins

*3rd person POV*

It had been a week since (Y/n) had received the note and seen the cat-like creature outside the kitchen window. Things had slowed down and returned to normal and (Y/n) was ready for the feast. It had turned out that there were around nineteen people attending, all invited by (Y/n) heself since the other girls thought it would be rude to invite people to something that was for (Y/n). The list was (Y/n) and her friends, Luffy and his group and Marco, Ace and Thatch, the last three being invited as a goodwill invitation to show that there were no hard feelings between the two groups.

When the bell rang signaling the end of the school day (Y/n) rushed home to prepare herself for the event to come. A few minutes later the front door opened and closed signaling the arrival of the four other girls.

"Hey. How are you feeling about tonight, considering what happened." The question was asked by Olivia, who seemed to be the most caring in the group considering the fact that it had been over two weeks since (Y/n) had first come to the school.

"I'm feeling fine about it. As long as they don't cause anymore trouble it'll be ok." replied (Y/n). The others nodded in agreement and began getting ready.

*Timeskip to almost dinner time and every one being ready because I don't wanna go through and put all that in the chapter*

When they were finished getting ready, each girl sat on the couch and waited for the others. The one that they were waiting on the longest for was Allison due to the fact that she had to borrow something from one of the others because she didn't own any formal clothes. Each girl wore something that represented them in some way or another. Olivia wore a black knee length cocktail dress with black pumps. Cherri wore a pink dress that went down to her mid thigh and a pair of red heels with pink hearts on them. KC wore a similar outfit to her sister except her dress and heels were black. Candice wore a red dress that went just past her knees and a pair of black pumps like Olivia. Allison wore a lavender dress and a set of matching heels. Lizzy seemed to be the odd one out as she wore black formal pants, a white button up shirt with a white shirt on underneath to keep it from showing anything underneath and a pair of flats. (Y/n) wore (You choose your outfit) and it seemed that each girl wore little to no make-up to keep from looking like an expensive whore.

As they left the house the night was filled with light chit-chat and soon the seven reached the area where the feast was taking place and noticed that all the boys, even Luffy, wore black tuxedos and the girls wore dresses. Taking a look around, (Y/n) noticed people standing at all the exits, one in particular caught her eye. He wore a white jacket and black pants. His hair was silver and slicked back, allowing the scowl to be ever present on his face. (Y/n) looked over to her friends and notice that Lizzy had gone pale. The girl slowed her pace and stood next to the short brunette.

"You OK there, Lizzy?" she asked in concern. Lizzy nodded slightly.

"Yeah, but you see that guy with the silver hair over there?" she said pointing to the guy (Y/n) was looking at earlier. (Y/n) nodded in response. "He and I sorta know each other, and not in a good way either." (Y/n) raised her eyebrow in surprise and went to speak but Doflamingo had other plans as he came out and began speaking.

"Welcome everyone. It was very gracious of our new comer to invite you all. Now if you could please take a seat so we can get this thing started. Oh, also, I'm sure you've all noticed the men standing at each of the exits. They're here from the military academy to make sure this goes smoothly." Everyone took a seat at the the table, waiting for the first course to be served. As they were waiting though, (Y/n) noticed Lizzy looking around every so often, paranoia clear in her eyes. As (Y/n) was about to question the girl the first course was served and everyone began eating.
