One Piece x Reader AU/Modern

Different than expected

    With hesitance (Y/n) walked into the house, slightly tense. Each step she took seemed to get smaller as Law watched the slightly frightened girl enter his home. When (Y/n) entered the house she turned around to say goodbye to Cherri but saw that the bright pink haired girl had left, leaving the (h/c)ette to fend for herself in this currently unknown place. (Y/n) turned back around and continued her way into the house and when she was far enough Law stepped back in and closed the door, and by this point the three other people had left and went somewhere else in the house, shutting in the frightened girl who, by this point, was quite sure that she'd rather be with Shadow at this point in time.

A snap of fingers in her ear brought (Y/n) out of her thoughts and she looked at Law with a questioning look. It was when she looked at Law that she noticed the furniture and paint. The house seemed to look normal, which was something she hadn't expected. The walls were tan and the furniture matched.

Law watched the girl for a moment before he snapped his finger in her ears a second time. The girl looked at Law, embarrassed that she had been caught staring at the furniture.

"(Y/n)-ya, you seem out of it. Is something the matter?" The question caught (Y/n) off guard. She hadn't expected Law to ask that at all.

"Um... No. It's just I guess that I didn't expect your house to seem so.....normal. I know it's rude but I was sorta told some things and I guess you can see where my train of thought went from there." Law looked at the girl before quirking an eyebrow.

"You know (Y/n)-ya. It's quite rude to make assumptions before you have a chance to meet the person." (Y/n)'s face grew red as she nodded.

"Yeah. I know." Law sighed before sighing and shaking his head. He then told (Y/n) to follow him, to which she did, and he took her to a room at the back of the house. The house seemed small compared to the other buildings on campus, but on the inside was a different story. As they passed room upon room (y/n) noticed that they got increasingly bigger the farther they went.

"Admiring the house again, are we now?"

"Yeah. Your house is just so big on the inside.." Law nodded.

"Yes. It is. It's the newest of the houses, though the majority of it is underground."

"Yeah I heard about that." As the conversation died down the two neared a room that said 'Laundry' on it.

"This is the Laundry room. At the back it has a set of stairs that leads to other rooms in the house, including the kitchen. The bedrooms are on the floor we're currently on so you'll more than likely be making multiple trips a day up and down those stairs." With that he left the (y/n) to, as she assumed, check out where she would probably be spending most of her time.
