Kakashi worked out a training schedule with his students. On Monday and Thursday, they would work with the instructors Kakashi had in mind if they agreed, of course. On Tuesday and Friday, they would train as a team and work on teamwork and any information about being an official ninja that the three needed to know. Wednesday and Saturday were reserved for completing as many missions as they could within a day. Kakashi and the Genin all wanted to move onto C-ranks as quickly as possible. And on Sunday, they had the day off.
Monday- Individual
Tuesday- Team
Wednesday- Missions
Thursday- Individual
Friday- Team
Saturday- Missions
Sunday- Off
Kakashi watched his students as they split up to go to their own houses for once. He had no doubt they'd end up back in Sasuke's house at some point, but at least they were somewhat making an effort to keep appearances up.
Now, all he had to do was go around and ask a few people if they were ready to call in his favors. He knew it was a good idea to make bets on whether or not Izumo and Kotetsu would get together. Nobody had to know that Kakashi was the one who set them up in the first place.
He went to find Kurenai first. She didn't owe him anything, but he figured she'd be the second most eager to help out. He wasn't ready to interact with Guy yet. He found her waving goodbye to her team outside of the barbecue restaurant.
"Oh, Kakashi. How can I help you?" She asked nicely.
"I know you have a team now, too," he stared, "but one of my students shows real promise for Genjutsu. I asked her if she'd like to expand her horizons and get better at it. I hoped you would be willing to help us out. I know there aren't many Genjutsu masters in Konoha, so-"
"I'd love to help, Kakashi. You're right, there haven't been enough Genjutsu enthusiasts since the Uchiha massacre." Kurenai interrupted Kakashi's ramble. "Do you have a time frame available?" Kakashi showed her the schedule, and Kurenai chose which days she could hall Sakura out.
"Thank you, Kurenai."
"No problem, Kakashi. I'm happy to help." Kurenai smiled. She didn't think Kakashi would have been taking his role as Sensei so seriously. She thought it was quite sweet the lengths he'd go to to get his students the help they needed.
They said their goodbyes, and Kakashi went to find the next person on his list.
Hayate Gekko was a simple man. He frequented three places. His house, the bar, and the Jonin Lounge. Kakashi found him reclining on the beat-up old green couch in the Lounge, reading a magazine. Hayate was good with a sword, he was already accustomed to teaching people how to use one as well.
The silver haired ninja stood in front of him until he was acknowledged l. "Hayate. Remember when you lost that bet?" Hayate nodded silently with narrowed eyes. His body jerked every once in a while with a suppressed cough. "I'm here to cash my favor in."
The tired man sighed, rubbing the dark spots under his eye. "What is it, Kakashi?" Hayate really didn't want to do anything the Hatake wanted. Only god knows what it will be.
"I need you to teach one of my students how to use a sword." Hayate blinked.
"You want to use the favor to help someone else?" He asked slowly, processing.
"Yes. It shouldn't be too hard. He's really enthusiastic about it." Kakashi smiled with his eyes. Hayate let out another sigh, this time relieved instead of dreadful.
