Little: Colby
Caregiver: Sam
Colby was furious. He had no idea why he was upset, but everything Sam would do made him grow angrier. About an hour ago Colby got put in timeout for throwing his food at his dear friend, Jake. Jake didn't care, he knew Colby was having one of those days. However, Kevin did care, and spanked his thigh, afterwards, he put Colby in his room.
30 minutes ago, he winded up back in timeout for biting Sam. Bringing us back to the present moment, Colby still had his nose in the corner and his hands in his lap. Sam was a few feet away from him, just in case Colby would try to make a run for it.
"Hey dude! Oh, why is Colby sitting in timeout?" Corey asked. "He threw his food at Jake and Kevin, and then 30 minutes later, he bit my shoulder. Please don't interact with him." Sam explained sternly. Corey nodded and walked away.
Colby twisted himself in his chair. "Cowey! Dada's being mean!" Colby shrieked from his corner. Sam sighed, knowing he couldn't help but feel sorry for the boy. The blonde stood up from the couch and over to Colby.
"You've gotta learn your lesson, buddy. Turn back around for Papa, okay?" Sam asked. Colby's eyes quickly welled with tears and he shook his head. "Please, Papa! No more timeout! I'm sorry, I not gonna do it ever again!" Colby sobbed into Sam's neck as they held each other closely.
Sam caressed the back of Colby's head as the little one leaned in for a kiss on Sam's lip. This was a tactic he used every time he got in trouble with someone. "Baby, those kisses aren't going to work on me. They might work on everyone else but I'm your daddy, I know what tricks you have up your sleeve to get whatever you want." Sam told the angry boy as he walked away.
Colby began angrily bouncing in his chair as he whined. "Papa! Please! NO MORE!" Colby wailed. Colby felt that he learned his lesson. "See you were going to have an extra 10 minutes added, but because you felt that yelling is a good idea..."
"That's an additional, 25 minutes."
