A/N: A new story that I'm going to try and write. I'm not feeling my other stories, and for this one I think I would like more reader response. :) Enjoy what I have so far.
Do or die. That was the last thing that I thought. Do or die. There was no choice here. I knew that I would have to do it. After all, it's better to live for what you believe in, rather than die for it. When you live, you have a greater chance of succeeding. You risk more than if you were to die, making the outcome so much sweeter when good triumphs over evil.
I'm Gaulda. Gaulda Mac. People say I'm different. I make things happen without meaning to. I can change the color of my hair and eyes when I feel boring. I can talk to snakes, too. They find me, whisper things... I can make people hurt, if I want. People call me a freak, insane, a witch. A boy even told me that he wished witch burnings were still around so he could watch me die at the stake.
I don't mind, though. I wouldn't want to be anyone besides myself. That's why I didn't back down. When it came to do or die, I'm proud to say that I survived.
