It was a hot and sunny day...

Almost every inspector in Scotland yard took their vacation and spend their summer somewhere around London, possibly in other countries.

But one man stayed, as he is has alot of paperworks to finish, and that man is Ben Xavier.

For background, Ben Xavier is a 31 year old man who loves investigating more than anything. He once encounter a killer back when he's 7 years old and made an oath to purify every criminal that lives in London.
Though, this job is no easy task, we can still praise his sense of justice and enthusiasm with his job.

He's currently in his office, doing paper works and complaining about the absolute chaos that has been going around ever since the great doctor of London disappeared.

While he's having a bad day, a familiar man enters his office.

"Looking shady I see, Xavier" said Sherrinford

To Xavier's surprise, he shouted "What are you doing here, Sherrinford!? You do not have the authority to enter such room, specifically a inspector's office!"

Sherrinford laughs and replied "too bad for you I got a pass from Johnny, he became handy in situations such as this. Ofcourse, don't get me wrong, I only have access to YOUR office, so you still have an absolute authority to such, don't worry."

Xavier, still in shock, shouts and scold Sherrinford to knock first before entering, so he wouldn't get frustrated situations like these.

Sherrinford asked if Xavier knows something about the missing doctor

"By the way, Benny, ever heard of the "Phantom Sonata" that was missing for almost 2 weeks? I heard his wife had consult every inspector but none of them got a lead. Wanna check things out?"

Just before Xavier replied, a sudden knock was heard coming from the door. As Sherrinford opened it, an elderly lady, age ranged somewhere 30, had showed herself on a mourning situation. Just as Sherrinford suspected, it was the wife of Dr. Oliver Evans.

The woman took a sir and she begun saying words such as "he was a good man" Xavier tries to comfort her while Sherrinford is looking away, trying not to feel embarrass for not comforting her. Just as she stopped crying, Xavier asked him.

"So, you're name is Mary Evans, correct? The wife of late Oliver Evans"

She replied, "yes."

"So tell me Mrs. Evans, how did your husband vanish?"

She mourningly told him; "At night before his disappearance, he came to our home in fear of something. I told him the matter, but he's clearly lying. After dinner, he locks himself up at his instrument room and played nonestop. When I woke up, I find him nowhere at the room. My neighbors said the music stops around 4:20. After that, we have no more leads to come up."

Sherrinford thinks of something and asked her if Dr. Evans ever left a note or some last words. She just calmly told them;

"Well, before he enters the room, he did shouted something like "D! Now banish before me, woman!"

Xavier confusedly said "D?"

Sherrinford got an idea and told her to lead them into their household.

As they run, A certain man appear before them, telling them to give some spare change or they'll die. Xavier saw this as a treat and was about to arrest it, but Sherrinford carefully stopped him, telling Xavier that it's just an old man. Sherrinford gives it a spare change and begun running away.

The old man then quietly whispers
"Let the first Act begin, the Mozart of our play."

To be continued. . .
