The trigger was pressed..the bullets hit..
It hits a heavy body. The woman looked around and saw his husband lying on the ground, shot dead on his stomach.
Xavier then stabbed the hitman on his throat. Sherrinford told Xavier to ask for some backup outside.
The wife mourns again, telling the doctor to wakeup while punching her body, calling it weak. The doctor's eye woke, she holds the Cheek of his wife and said;
"Be strong, Mary. I will be waiting for you on the other side."
The eyes of the doctor close. The wife cries loudly while shaking her husband's dead body, screaming that he should wake up. Sherrinford then pay a condolence and dragged the body out on the abandon Opera.
The woman's tears were heard outside the Abandoned building. Everyone thought it was the Thanatos himself that payed a visit for the doctor. Sherrinford smoked and gives a huge sigh. He was then approached by Harley and told him he did a great job, to which Sherrinford said;
"This is a failed mission, the victim was dead."
Harley tries to comfort him but she refused. Telling her it's best if she'll leave him alone. Sherrinford then walked outside the theatre while Xavier and his men came into the large Opera.
8 days later
Sherrinford and Xavier came to visit the funeral of the late doctor. All of the relatives and friends of the doctor greeted the duo with rudeness as they should've saved the doctor. Sherrinford felt a deep remorse for letting the victim die. Xavier comforts him and told him that he did the right thing.
After the blessing and everyone left, Mary thanked the duo very much for trying to save his husband despite the failed mission.
On the other hand, some journalist instead alter the ending and make the duo a hero. Everyone from London had a split opinion about it. Sherrinford and Xavier should be promoted together while the others say they let a innocent man die.
On the other hand, Sherrinford apologize to Xavier for making him kill the hitman, but Xavier comforts him telling him it's alright. Xavier also asked on how he knew about the opera, but Sherrinford calmly said;
"Why? And how? First and foremost he's trying to recreate the so called unfinished piece of Mozart, secondly, he's planning on finishing it on a quiet place, restrict from the outside world. An abandon opera with a wrecked piano is already a go getter."
Xavier laughs and told Sherrinford that he did a great job.
But deep inside Sherrinford, he knew he could've done better. But he just accepted it and call this the "ending" that should be.
Case 2, closed.
Bonus scenes:
Xavier asked Sherrinford on how expert he is when it comes to other cultures and religions, Sherrinford laughs and said;
"Oh Xavier my friend, my course requires me to learn other religions and history of different countries, I know almost most of the known world out there!! BWAHAH!"
Xavier gave him the confused look and they both laugh together nonetheless.
