Chapter 10: A Heartfelt Confession

As the days passed after the eventful night, Kai found himself unable to shake off thoughts of Nora. The lingering desire for a connection grew stronger within him. Unable to contain his emotions, he decided to seek advice from someone he trusted deeply – his sister.

Kai: (calling his sister) "Hey, sis. Can we talk?"

Sister: "Of course, Kai. What's on your mind?"

Kai: "It's about a girl, Nora. I can't stop thinking about her."

Sister: "Nora? The one from the other night? What's going on?"

Kai hesitated for a moment before opening up about his feelings.

Kai: "Yeah, her. I can't get her out of my head. It's been a while since... well, you know, since Jennie. But there's something about Nora, something calm and intelligent. I think I like her."

His sister, sensing the sincerity in his voice, offered encouraging words.

Sister: "Kai, it's okay to feel that way. If you see something special in her, go for it. You deserve to be happy."

Feeling somewhat reassured, Kai thanked his sister and hung up. The weight on his chest had lightened, but he knew he needed to confront his feelings head-on.

Later that day, Kai found himself in the garden, seeking a moment of solitude. D.O, noticing Kai's contemplative demeanor, joined him.

D.O: "Kai, what's going on? You seem lost in thought."

Kai: "It's Nora. I can't stop thinking about her."

D.O, with a knowing smile, teased Kai in a light-hearted manner.

D.O: "Well, you're not the only one. We all started to like Nora, you know?"

Kai, surprised by D.O's revelation, raised an eyebrow.

Kai: "All of you? Seriously?"

D.O: "Yep. She left quite an impression on all of us. But, Kai, if you're serious about her, don't let that stop you. Pursue what makes you happy."

Kai hesitated before opening up about his inner turmoil.

Kai: "I guess... I haven't really dated since Jennie, you know? It feels like an uncharted territory, and I don't want to mess things up."

D.O leaned back, looking at the stars, and then back at Kai.

D.O: "Love is never easy, Kai. It's messy, unpredictable, and sometimes it hurts. But it's also the most beautiful thing in the world. If you feel something for Nora, don't let fear hold you back. Take a chance, and who knows what might happen?"

Kai, pondering D.O's words, couldn't help but crack a smile.

Kai: "You sound like a romance guru, D.O."

D.O: "Maybe I've read one too many love stories. But seriously, Kai, life is too short to overthink things. If you like her, go for it. We're all here to support you."

Kai, feeling a mix of gratitude and determination, nodded.

Kai: "Thanks, D.O. I needed to hear that. I'll figure things out with Nora, one step at a time."

D.O: "You know, Kai, sometimes the heart knows what it wants before the mind catches up. Don't be afraid to listen to it."

Kai: "I appreciate the advice, D.O. It's just... I haven't felt like this in a long time. Jennie and I, well, it didn't end on the best note. I guess I'm scared of going through that again."

D.O nodded, understanding the weight of Kai's past experiences.

D.O: "It's natural to be hesitant, especially after a tough break. But don't let one bad chapter keep you from the possibility of a beautiful love story."

Kai: "You're right. I don't want to let the past dictate my future. Nora is different, and I can't ignore what I feel."

D.O chuckled, offering a supportive smile.

Sehun: "What's going on here? Are you two plotting world domination?"

Baekhyun: "Or maybe discussing the latest K-drama? I'm all ears for juicy romance plots."

Kai and D.O shared a knowing look, and Kai decided to let his friends in on his feelings.

Kai: "Actually, we're talking about Nora."

Baekhyun: "Ah, the mysterious Nora! What's the latest scoop?"

D.O: "Kai here has a little crush on her. And no, Baekhyun, it's not for your upcoming K-drama script."

Baekhyun's eyes widened with mock surprise.

Baekhyun: "Kai, my man, I'm proud of you! Nora is indeed charming. So, what's the plan?"

Kai chuckled at Baekhyun's antics, appreciating the lightheartedness his friends brought to the conversation.

Kai: "I'm still figuring that out. But I'm leaning towards taking a chance."
