"Sorry..." East suddenly felt the nerves take over, soon followed by the embarrassment over how he had behaved towards Recke in the past. "The others were busy, I didn't think you'd mind. I can clear out." He reached for his papers.

"I was hoping to talk to you actually so it's good I found you. Please know what I am about to say I mean in a completely professional way. I want to extend to you a permanent place on my team, that means you would be giving up ever leading your own." Recke sat on the desk and raise an eyebrow at him "Are you ready to do that."

"I've been training with the tribe, and they are telling me I really need to work on my pride, that I need to be humble. So yes... I welcome that." He looked down at the table "Yes, I still love you... but I understand now how big of an ass I have been." He looked up at Recke "I'm sorry."

"All's forgiven." Recke smiled "I'll have the paperwork drawn up, keep an eye on Cal, if you can keep the rumor going it will keep the bishops off her while she does her work."

"Got it, you do realize she's not my type." He frowned "It's kind of rude to ask me to hit on a female."

"I didn't say to hit on her, and by the way you need to fuckin tell her that the attack was not about getting the L.U. before me."

"Okay... but can I ask you something?" Recke nodded "I don't understand... you dump me; you refuse to talk to me about it leave on a mission and hook up with her. What does she have that I don't..."

"Tits..." He frowned "And by the way I broke up with you seven times... you just didn't get it until you saw I moved on."

"Asshole." he frowned, then laughed it off "I'll keep her safe, I promise."

"Friends?" Recke held out his hands and East reluctantly took it. "You also need to apologize to Midnight and Tahk."

"Fuck... do I have to." East rolled his eyes and slouched into the chair before looking up at Recke and seeing the glare. "Fine, I will do so." Recke nodded at him and settled into the other consol chair in the room and took care of all the prep work for his mission. He got East's paperwork done and sent it to East's consol "Thank you" East winked at him. Recke stood smiled before leaving.

Recke headed to the training room to get a few things then onto the rear storage room and stocked up on things the team would need for the time period. This time they were heading for the eighteen eighties in London. This time they needed to be prepared. He gathered everything he needed and made lists for everyone on the team that was going. On his way back home, he dropped off the lists to the team members and told them to be ready to leave in four hours. He headed home and curled back up with Cal.

Cal woke up and laughed at Recke when he was getting ready to go. "What are you wearing?"

"We are going to the eighteen eighties London." He frowned as she burst out laughing.

"Keep in mind certain ethnicities are not going to be... very useful at that time period." She frowned "Human history is littered with moments of stupidity."

"That we are not allowed to fuck with." Recke frowned "Apparently they were" He held up his hands and did a sarcastic air quote to go with it "learning moments..." he rolled his eyes.
