31: Seek out the helper

                         "The base repairs and upgrades are moving along smoothly but they do need to be kept an eye on." Recke looked over at Cal who was still half asleep. "Do you mind if I take that list you made last night and check on things?"

                          "Go ahead." Cal yawned and rolled over "I am feeling much better but I'm still tired."

                          "Then get some sleep," Recke climbed onto the bed and kissed the side of her head. "Just sleep" He climbed off the bed and headed out to get other things done on Cals list to make sure she didn't need to worry.

                          Cal slept for a few more hours then was up and walking the halls admiring the improvements when she noticed that in all the dreams she had there was a door in one location where there was now a wall. She took out her cube and contacted Zachary "Hey, can you pinpoint where I am and what direction I am facing."

                          "Yes," He tapped away on his laptop. Cal noticed he was still at his family's estate and having breakfast. "What are we looking at."

                          "A wall," His eyes shifted, getting a question of concern to them "But in the dreams there is always a door here. It goes to a four-story private residence that some dignitary who frightens Frakland into leaving lives in. The clones hated him to the point that they were constantly at odds over the rules."

                          "Interesting, I'm sending a team to explore that area, I want a complete map of the base as it was in the dreams. This is very helpful information, please keep walking around" He smiled "And keep us posted." Cal nodded and the two hung up.

                         "Keep exploring..." Cal took a deep breath and headed to the left, down a dark hallway that in the dreams was lit and busy. She tapped the cube for light and scanned the hallway; right away things looked different. The hallway looked like it was only a cement tunnel with boarded up rooms on either side. But in the dream, it was lined with comm consols on the walls and a glass floor that overlooked a river. The river was the water used on the based as it went through cleaners and got filtrated through the planet below. It was one of many steps that was taken to bring the planet to life.

                          "Coming up behind you." Recke was happy to see her moving around "Zachary told me where you are, what did you find now?"

                           "This hallway should be lit up and in use." She scanned the space again but couldn't see what the dream was trying to highlight. "It had families in it. Most of these were two story family dwellings. This looks like a tunnel that just got abandoned. This space should be what I saw. It was..." She pointed at the walls "Touch screen comm consols for public use" She pointed at the floor "Glass floor that overlooked a river that was a filtration system for the base water, it intergraded the water slowly into the planet and helped bring it to life... like earth style life."

                         "That's easy enough to do. We just never thought about bothering to do it." Recke's cube buzzed, he pulled it out and read the message that was sent "They found nothing unusual about the space behind the wall what do you want them to do?"

                          Cal turned to face Recke who looked over his shoulder at the space in question "I want it to be set up as a four-story luxury suit for a high-level dignitary. It needs to be completely encompassed by public space, all but the doorways into it." She turned back to the would-be hallway, "And I want to scan the database until I find all the families that were living here... and the dignitary that was here, I feel that is important."
