He could not stop staring at her that it made Leila stare at her and then him. Okay he knew he may look like he was rudely staring but he could not help it. Hell, he was supposed to help it, but here they were.
He could tell from the way she sat down that she was not comfortable. From the way she played with the tips of her hair to the way she was twitching and making eye contact or at least from his point of view, trying to make her twin sister look at her.
It made him smile. She was adorable. Especially when she was trying so hard to look at anyone else but him. He could feel a small faint smile forming across his lips, which only caused her to blush even more.
Did she remember him? He wondered as he continued to stare from her to her twin, to his own twin and back at her. How could she, she was only a child when they met.
This made him ponder before Leila grabbed his arm. He turned to look at her with a surprise glance, but the smile remained on his lips. To outsiders, they may look like a couple, but both of them knew they were family.
"Um"
She said trying to make small talk, which made him turn back to her and stole a glance at Rillianna, who was looking at Dublin's direction. He knew that look and was about as tempted to stomp on her toes to make her stop it.
But before he could even reach his foot, Leila gently nudged him with her elbow.
"I'll have what my sister is having. So it won't be a bother."
He looked at her with surprise.
"You're not a bother." He said which made her look at him. He offered a small and he hoped was a friendly smile. While he stared at her, memorizing her features. Saving it to memory.
"Not a bother at all. Order anything you wish. My treat." He said continuing before turning his attention back to Leila. He was about to whisper in her ear to tell Rillianna to cut it out. But before he could say anything, he heard the chair being pushed back.
"Um excuse me, I need some air." She said as she pushed her chair back, getting up and taking her leave before anyone in the table could say a word.
He sighed and waited before hearing the twin sister Althea called her twin.
"Let her be. Sta. Clara is safe. Please, order anything."
"I am really sorry, she's just nervous. " Althea said addressing him. But he waved the apology off.
"Not to worry. But if you would excuse me for a moment. Rilli, Leila, Althea." He said addressing all three girls before pushing back his own chair and walking towards the same way his mate was going.
"Just in case if anything happens, but I can assure you, this place is safe." He said while following the scent.
It took him around three minutes or less to track her through her scent. Of course Sta. Clara was not a small village, but he knew every nook and cranny of this place, and her scent led him to a small alley.
There she was. Just leaning on the wall.
Her.
His little mate.
Dublin.
Mine.
