January 22nd 835
Pacing, all Calista did was pace back and forth in the living area while bouncing the tiny infant gently in her arms while he fussed. It had been two days since Mariele had gone missing, and she hadn't slept since.
All she could do was wait. She felt so powerless, unable to do anything while other people were looking for her child.
It didn't feel right, like she wasn't doing enough, but there wasn't much she could do, especially when she had her hands full with her baby.
She's never felt so helpless in her life before. So far, The Military Police haven't been able to come up with any leads, and it was heartbreaking.
Despite it only being two days, she was seriously fearing the worst. With no witnesses, the situation didn't look good, and the Military Police mentioned that.
Many children remain unfound to this day because of that factor, and it's bone-chilling to think about.
She blamed herself. If she hadn't insisted on Mariele leaving the house that day, she wouldn't be missing right now.
Mariele probably would've been in her room reading a book right now instead of being God knows where.
Like, what if Mariele ended up in a place no one would even think to look. There were just too many possibilities, and it made her head hurt just thinking about it.
She stopped pacing for a second, walking around to the window and pulling the curtain back, staring through the glass, hoping that she'd magically see Mariele walking up to the door like nothing had happened.
But there was nothing. The disappointment was immeasurable. All that was seen was the other residents of Shiganshina going about with their days. Her Father in law walked up to her and placed his hand gently on her shoulder.
"Why don't I take care of Armin while you rest Calista, you seriously look like Shit. You can't keep running on fumes." He said worryingly.
Calista sighed and shook her head. She refused to rest until her little girl was back home and safe. I mean, how could any parent that has a missing child act so nonchalantly and pretend like everything's okay when it wasn't. It was astonishing to think that some parents may be like that.
"No, it's fine. I appreciate the concern, though. Just worry about yourself," she replied tiredly." She then turned her back on him and continued looking through the window, trying to keep the little ounce of positivity that they'd be able to find her daughter and bring her back safe and sound.

Pain, all i felt was pain. I blacked out. The last thing I remembered was the man hitting me on the back of the head with something and falling hard on the concrete, and then someone lifted my body off the ground,
carrying me away.I'm seriously surprised no one saw anything, but then again, it's was dark, and we were in a freaking alleyway on top of it. It was literally the perfect opportunity for any kidnapper. Plus, I'm assuming they knew what they were doing. This couldn't be their first rodeo.
I can't really remember much else. I can barely move any parts of my body. I was still able to hear everything around me, though, even if it was just the quiet murmurs of my captors or the environment around me.
I fought to force my eyes open. But my body refused to comply. All I could do was lie here in unconsciousness. At least until my body decided it was finally time to wake up, which I hope was soon.
