HELLA, HELLA, HELLA SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T READ CHAPTER TWO
The people who kidnapped Mariele are part of a shady organization in the Underground that goes to different parts of Paradis to kidnap children to force them to participate in a child fight club ring. People will pay to watch the fight or gamble which child will win. The bidding for each fight is 100 dollars. If the child wins the fight, the bid will go up by four, and the organization will take 100 dollars off the person winnings.
