The Star of the East
She doth endure
Hard industry
Sat by the shoreAgainst the sun
And tortured sea
The blind wind turns
Gilding the streetsHer winding fields
And verdant coasts
With crowns and shield
She guards her hostWhat graceful speech
Remains unheard
The Star repeats
Her masters servedWhere travellers camp
By noble walls
She holds her lamp
Never to fallGuiding gently home
Her children poor
To Yorkshire's Rome
Sat by the shore.@nepion_boreas17
