The debris fell over the whole area resulting in the two groups to be separated. Koji jumped back but Bunko was nowhere to be seen. Koji looked around and tried to turn himself invisible but out of nowhere an attack was sent from the left going right at his face. He quickly placed his hand up front to protect himself as he saw no chance to dodge the attack.
It hit him and sent him flying into a building. When he was sent inside the building itself he fell on a few desks. Looking around this was an office. He kept his cool trying to analyze the situation around him.
And as he was thinking another attack was sent at him. He quickly turned his gaze and with his hand he went to block an attack. Expecting to be sent flying again he was sweating. But the object sent at him fell down. It was a small rock. He picked it up and did not see anything particularly weird about it.
Koji’s confusion was immense. Doing his best to comprehend everything around him, he still felt an immense presence. What made him think most though is the fact that he was the one being attacked. He was not the best at targeting an enemy as well as Bunko but even he was certain it was just one opponent. So why did the opponent turn his focus on Koji and no one else.
Yet as his focus was on his own confusion. He let his guard down. A rock was flying for his neck. And as it flew he saw his life flash before his eyes. And at that moment, someone jumped at the left side of him. Koji was saved by.
Hagatsuma Kumiko.
-Kumiko H- «Hey! Fashionista boy. You’d be dead meat without me. Thank me!»
-Koji- «As if!»
Kumiko deflected another attack with her left forearm, this attack had a horrifying speed in it. Curious she looked to see what the object was. It turned out it was a mere pen.
-Kumiko H- «A pen?? Hey what’s this about?!»
-Koji- «How should I know?!»
The person itself should not be that fast. Looking around they could sense an aura moving. Although It was not powerful enough to be noticed through all of that energy surrounding them.
As they were both being careful a pencil flew right at them. Fortunately Koji noticed before it would reach so he brought his hand in front of it. The pencil was spinning and it hit Koji’s hand with the edge. Yet because it was spinning it lifted up and hit him.
Koji’s palm had a hole inside it and the pencil fell down.
-Koji- «… eh?»
Koji’s right arm was bleeding as he held his wrist in order to prevent it. He was in thought. Everything thrown at them was objects found in offices and on the ground. Thinking his hardest he figured it out. He understood the functions of the opponent’s blessing!
Meanwhile a bit souther from where these two were. Archive, Shiro, Tamotsu, Kiyomi and Bunko were there.
-Kiyomi- «WHAT WAS THAT!»
-Tamotsu- «Won’t you stop yelling! We need to concentrate and find them fast! Archive-San. You must be terrified of losing your fiancée. And and you Hoshino-San! Your teammate!»
Whilst Tamotsu and Kiyomi were in a state of panic they turned their heads to the other three. They sat down with their legs crossed looking absolutely dumbfounded.
-Archive- «No need to worry. Tamotsu. Kumiko is not weak enough to lose to this»
-Shiro- «Yeah. You haven’t had the misfortune of fighting alongside her. So you probably don’t know how terrifying she can become»
Tamotsu still dumbfounded turned to look at Hoshino Bunko.
-Tamotsu- «What about Sawa-San?? Aren’t you afraid!»
Bunko remained calm and looked at Tamotsu.
-Bunko- «He’s not as strong not as fast as me. If I’m honest he doesn’t even have a better ability than me. But… I’d easily say he has me beat when it comes to direct confrontations…»
Back at the battle between the unknown ability user against Koji and Kumiko. Sawa Koji found out the opponent’s ability!
-Koji- «Hey! Tree woman! Even if it’s a damn sword coming your way just touch one of the broadsides!»
-Kumiko H- «Huh?! Who you calling a tree you gnome!»
-Koji- «Just trust my words!»
Hagatsuma Kumiko hesitantly prepared herself to take any attack.
-Kumiko H- «If this fails I’ll murder you with a pen»
-Koji- «So creative»
Kumiko afterwards saw a deal flying at her. The corner of the legs was coming at her. By how things were going they would both die anyways. So she just dashed and avoided the corners. Doing so the desk lost all it’s kinetic energy and stopped moving. Forcing it to the ground and then dashing to where it came from. She found nothing.
She then realized. Koji was left alone back there. But she could not care less about that. Although she did figure something out. She was currently at the place with the most blessed energy. This was odd. When she first dashed here she did not feel such energy. Was that the opponents full ability?
-Koji- «Damn that bitch! Why is everyone rushing so much at everything!»
Koji looked towards Kumiko’s direction after feeling a large sum of energy there. And suddenly. Right from the place behind him. The place with barely any energy. Three rocks were shot. The rocks caused smoke to appear as they hit somewhere in the office.
Koji turned himself invisible making his eyes the only thing visible.
And then Kumiko returned.
-Kumiko H- «Hey! What do you think happened!»
-Koji- «Listen up! You run at the side with the least energy and I’ll run to the side with the most!»
-Kumiko H- «Bullshit! You ain’t taking my spotlight!»
-Koji- «Shut up you arrogant prick and just follow my damn lead!»
-Kumiko H- «Why should I ever do that?!»
-Koji- «Do so or we both die!»
Kumiko was about to turn Koji down again but thinking of Archive she knew he would not do anything like that. She clenched her fist. And ran to the area with the least energy.
-Kumiko H- «If this fails I’ll murder you»
-Koji- «Yeah yeah»
Koji had thought this through. When Kumiko actually ran to the place where the attack was fired from. The energy around them shifted. And it did not quite change for a bit. So he thought the opponent’s ability has two more functions. First it creates a circle around the target where the energy is invisible from the outside and confusing from the inside.
Second is that the opponent will always transfer automatically to the place with the least energy to cause less suspicion. He figured that out from when Kumiko couldn’t find him at the place where he should have been.
So they took the risk. And Koji after running to the side with energy he was attacked with a few objects. Jumping on each and every one of their broad sides he went outside. No one was there.
-Koji- «Alright… let’s go serpent!»
Kumiko on the other hand she found a woman around the age of 29. Moving her leg towards her back she kicked the left side of her head with force. Landing down she went up to her face and throw a right hook on her jaw. Then a left one and then a right again throwing an endless amount of punches at her face. And finally punching her in the torso knocking her out. The woman fell down from the floor they were in and was killed.
After the woman died Kumiko was panting but turned around and walked towards Koji with a serious look.
-Koji- «I guess we have to fight now. I need ya to take the ball afterwards»
-Kumiko H- «No I trust you. I hate you but you earned my respect. Now let’s go back to the test you weird fashion boy»
-Koji- «Yeah. Let’s go you tree»
Thirty minutes passed and they returned to their friends. Kiyomi went to hug Kumiko but knowing she’d be punched Shiro stopped her.
Koji handed the crystal to Archive.
-Koji- «This will get you to Kyoto immediately Vinogradov-San. Use Schrödinger’s cat to make it’s effect become from a 50/50 to a 60% chance of success»
-Archive- «Call me Archive please. I hate honorifics»
-Koji- «Alright Archive-San»
-Archive- Archive sighed «Well anyways. Thank ya for it. Hey you all gather around»
As Archive said that. Everyone came around him except for Bunko and Koji.
-Archive- «You two not coming?»
-Koji- «Nah. Boss just told us to give you the sphere. But do not worry. We will meet at that place again»
-Kumiko H- «Alright then. Goodbye for now you freaks»
-Bunko- «Goodbye»
Archive held the sphere in his hands and spoke the words.
-Archive- «Schrödinger’s Cat»
As they were teleporting Archive remembers something the other two said.
-Archive- «Hey uh what happens if this fails?»
-Koji- «Oh you will turn into a fleshy mush and die»
-Shiro- «WHAT?! HOLD ON A SECOND YOU PRI-»
Kumiko and the rest were teleported to where Savanah was. Kyoto.
