The sphere had turned to dust as they all appeared in front of an abandoned building in Kyoto. They all fell on the ground except for Kumiko who fell on Shiro’s back. He groaned as all the air in his lungs went out. She got up and Shiro did his best to breathe.
Kumiko got up looking at Shiro on the floor. And him getting up. Afterwards he felt a hand on his shoulder and it was Archive with a very angry look. His pupils weren’t seen and his eyes were fully white.
-Archive- «Do that again and I’ll kill you»
Shiro was frightened as much as anyone could and shook his head really fast. Archive just responded with «good» and then looked around.
Tamotsu was cheering from the back.
-Tamotsu- «Yes yes master Archive!»
In his thoughts Shiro thought : «I let this idiot live in my house all this time and that’s what I get? I’ll beat him up I swear»
-Archive- «This must be Kyoto»
-Kiyomi- «Yeah I suppose it is but there is a better question now is there not?»
Archive was confused and looked at her.
-Archive- «What is that?»
Kiyomi quickly responded.
-Kiyomi- «WHAT ABOUT THE ONE WHO ATTACKED KUMIKO!»
-Kumiko H- «Call me Hagatsuma-San you material girl»
-Archive- «Nah she’s fine. I’m certain. I know who I am engaged to. After all I wouldn’t choose to marry someone I did not know much»
Tamotsu in the back was shaking his head pouting as I’d he was proud he was serving Archive and from the back Shiro headlocked Tamotsu and they both fell down.
-Kumiko H- «So what now?»
-Archive- «We will look for Kitamura-San»
Kumiko was a but surprised and asked Archive.
-Kumiko H- «You’re not the type to use honorifics dear. Everything alright?»
-Archive- «No reason really. I just felt like it… anyways. Savanah should be around here in Kyoto. She should be found quickly. Like us she could have been hunted down»
-Shiro- «Yeah. And since I’ve fought her before I could assist at finding her»
Shiro said whilst holding Tamotsu down.
Archive slowly turned to Shiro and spoke.
-Archive- «Who gave you permission to speak…»
And Tamotsu from Shiro’s arms made a few muffled sounds.
-Tamotsu- «Y-Yes… g-go master Archive!!»
Shiro made sure his grip on Tamotsu was stronger now.
-Shiro- «Archive-San. Listen up. Savanah is in an enclosed space. Knowing her way of thinking she is probably in the largest building. She believed that the most obvious place for someone to be is the least obvious»
-Kumiko H- «And how exactly do you know she’s in an enclosed space?»
-Archive- «… You better answer her»
Shiro sighed as he looked at the couple. He thought of how weird they were being and be thought he should have stayed home.
-Shiro- «Well I don’t know honestly. I’m guessing»
Kumiko and Archive looked at Shiro and Kumiko hit her forehead with her palm.
-Kumiko H- «You sounded just like her right now you know?»
Shiro paused and then looked at her.
-Shiro- «Yes I’m fully aware. Oh I wish she was here»
-Archive- «Keep it in your pants… but I’ll take that bet. I’ve never lost trusting luck»
They used Shiro’s ability and Kumiko’s strength to make her get up on a building immediately. She looked around and pointed towards the direction of the largest building over there.
They started approaching it and finally reached the entrance. Opening the door Kumiko was the first to step inside.
-Kumiko- «It’s safe. Come in»
And so everybody went inside. They walked around for a good ten minutes. Kiyomi was already starting to get tired. After another half an hour they had explored most of the building except from the basement. They all went down there, and finally finding the light, they realized something that terrified them. Near Kumiko’s hand, as she reached for the light switch, she saw a crack moving towards her hand. It was Aoyama Jun’s crevice manipulation.
She pulled her hand away immediately, but as she saw an object being flung at her, she felt her life flashing before her eyes. The blessed energy surrounding them was the same to that of the opponent they recently fought. However, a shield appeared in front of her, and the crack moved there. The shield, which had the crack, disappeared with it. It was Savanah’s ability. They looked towards their left and saw Kitamura Savanah.
-Shiro- «S-Savanah-San?»
-Savanah- «Shiro-Kun?? What are doing here you should get out!»
And then… a voice was heard. A man from the shadows of the corners. His accent a bit off. He was probably a foreigner. And he spoke so calmly. Like he was having a casual conversation with someone.
-???- «Your voice bothers me a bit. Please quit yelling»
-Shiro- «Who are you!»
-???- «My name?»
-Shiro- «Yeah you! You’re the one who attacked us now weren’t you!»
The man did not make a single sound. Did not sigh. Did not do anything. Like nothing was happening he continued speaking.
-???- «What do you mean. You killed the users of those abilities did you not?»
Shiro was troubled to ask. He did not want to believe they failed at killing both of them. He was unsure of what to say but then Archive placed his hand on Shiro’s shoulder and spoke.
-Archive- «Yeah they are dead. My fiancée killed them. She ain’t no sloppy one»
-???- «… You must be… Archive Vinogradov. Am I correct?»
-Archive- «Yeah»
And then instead of looking at Kumiko, Kiyomi or Shiro again he turned his head to Tamotsu.
-???- «Are you. That Seventy-Sixfold amplification user?»
Tamotsu too shocked to answer he stayed behind ready to give support to his team.
-???- «Oh I am sorry. Seems like I have been talking for a while now. I’ll kill you»
Everyone prepared to battle, and Kumiko wasted no time, dashing towards the foreigner with sweat dripping down her face. However, the foreigner moved his hand in front of her as he received a phone call, and Kumiko stopped in her tracks. It was not her thoughts, but her instinct telling her not to move an inch right now.
-???- «Moshi moshiii… did I use that correctly second?»
-2nd- «Oh yes you were don’t worry. Now you know I can see. You should not fight them. They will be useful»
The voice of the woman gave hopes to Kumiko and the rest. They wanted to survive this encounter fast.
-???- «You all know I could not care less about this task. Why would I listen?»
-2nd- «We hired you for a reason. Kill at least one and everything will be over»
The phone was closed at that moment and he placed it inside his pocket.
-???- «Kobashigawa Osamu and Sachiko. I’ll leave these people to you. The second wants them at the facilities»
From there two other people would emerge. A young kid around 18 and a woman around her 50’s.
Kumiko jumped quickly but these two placed their hands together and spoke.
-Osamu- «Metropolitan Dominion»
-Sachiko- «Proprietor’s Passage»
At that moment. Everyone in the room. Was transported somewhere else. To the Philippines where they would meet a fate. Worse than death.
